Social Media Coordinator

Job Description

A video production and distribution company in the media and entertainment industry is seeking a Social Media Coordinator to help build and maintain its social media presence by crafting engaging reels and compelling storytelling content for the brand. This is a flexible, fully remote position with a preference for candidates in New York or New Jersey to occasionally collaborate with the team onsite. Additionally, this is a part-time contract position requiring about 10-20 hours per week. This role involves creative vision, the ability to repurpose existing content, and maintaining a consistent and polished aesthetic in line with high-end brand partnerships. If you have at least 2 years of experience in social media content creation, especially on Instagram and basic digital editing skills using tools such as Canva and Facetune, then this is an amazing opportunity to gain exposure to exciting projects and clients in an influential and luxury media space!

Salary Range: $30 - $50/hr DOE

Social Media Coordinator Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a content calendar
• Produce high-quality reels and other social media content
• Write captivating Instagram captions
• Edit and repurpose pictures, videos, and graphics to create impactful posts
• Collaborate closely with the media relations team and report directly to the CEO
  
  

Social Media Coordinator Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in social media content creation, especially on Instagram
• Demonstrable ability to create a social media strategy and tell a brand's story through posts
• Basic editing skills (experience with tools like Canva, Facetune, etc.)
• Must be proactive, a problem solver, and excellent at communicating especially regarding deadlines
• Portfolio required: Must provide Instagram handles and examples of previous work
• Experience in media, film, advertising, public relations, or similar fields is preferred
• Previous work with luxury brands or fashion is preferred
• Located in the New York City or New Jersey area is preferred
