Your Role:
As the R&D Manager, you will lead and encourage a team with varied strengths of researchers, scientists, and technicians, encouraging a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. You will develop and implement the R&D strategy aligned with business objectives, driving advancements in coatings technology.

Key Tasks:
- Innovative Solutions: Develop innovative solutions that deliver value to our customers and Hempel.
- Team Leadership: Drive collaboration, set priorities, and ensure dedicated execution.
- Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and be responsible for research projects, ensuring efficient prioritization, timelines, and results. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with other departments to ensure magnificent integration between R&D and commercial teams.
- Technical Expertise: Stay at the forefront of coatings technology advancements, supervise industry trends, and evaluate emerging materials and methodologies. Guide and mentor the R&D team in solving sophisticated challenges.
- Teamwork and Partnerships: Build strategic partnerships with external research institutions, universities, and industry experts to use their expertise, improve knowledge sharing, and drive collaborative innovation initiatives.
- Quality and Compliance: Ensure adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and health and safety guidelines throughout the R&D process. Implement robust testing and validation protocols to maintain the highest level of product performance and reliability.
- Budget and Resource Management: Develop and handle the R&D budget, optimizing prioritization to improve research output and achieve business objectives. Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in research and development of protective coating, with a consistent record of successful project leadership and innovation management.
- Experience in leading and developing successful R&D teams.
- Experience in Project , budget and resource Management
