EDO is a linchpin of an ecosystem of data-first functions that will work together seamlessly to enable Amerihealth to achieve the true value of data. The mission of the EDO is “Empowering the business of Amerihealth by delivering trusted solutions through complete data services.”

As Director of Enterprise Data Quality, you will be an established change agent and a collaborative leader who supports the delivery of EDO's mission. You will have broad responsibility for executing on our data strategy which includes developing and enacting data policies and standards, establishing common processes and procedures critical to data management, curating and extending the firm’s data taxonomy catalog and quality scorecard, and communicating the strategic and operational progress of data management to senior leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering the vision of Data Quality at Amerihealth.
  • Building and carrying out enterprise data policy, procedures and standards, then recommending and implementing change, as required.
  • Support the data owners/stewards in the application, development, and promotion of data governance practices that will improve the business value of their data assets, including to identify gaps in compliance, and work to remediate issues.
  • As Chair of the Data Quality Council, defines, roll-out data quality & issue management framework at enterprise level, also, work with Business Data Owners/Stewards, Data Consumers and Technical Owners who make up the membership.
  • Must stay ahead on industry and regulatory trends and understand the evolving needs of our clients and business partners.
  • Mature our data quality capabilities enabling rapid and automated data quality checks across all data domains, enhance management information to provide needed transparency and holds Owners accountable for their data.
  • Be client focused, and able to anticipate and respond to changing industry trends, and have both market knowledge and a point of view with regard to what high quality, trustworthy data looks like.
  • Engage and develop strong working relationships with Senior Leaders through effective leadership, communication and change management process.
  • Build and lead a world-class team, and be proficient at attracting, developing, and organizing talent in support of Amerihealth client focus and culture of excellence.

Qualifications / Education:

  • At least three (3)+ years overall IT leadership, budget and staff management experience.
  • At least five (5)+ years Enterprise Data Governance, Quality, Metadata Management experience.
  • Demonstrable experience supporting development of a vision through execution and day to day leadership of a dynamic, client-focused organization.
  • Consistent record of strong leadership within highly matrixed organizations.
  • Experience creating and executing effective change management, leading others through transformational change.
  • Broad and deep understanding of data systems (e.g., industry platforms, data tools, portals, workflow, automation), digital savvy, and experienced in surfacing technological/digital solutions to solve business issues.
  • Demonstrable experience leading, developing, and motivating professional level staff.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining collaborative working relationships with internal clients to understand their business needs.
  • Knowledge of business risk, solid understanding of robust operating procedures and controls.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related studies; or equivalent related project experience.

Other Skills:

  • Healthcare experience is preferred; HL7 and CMS Interoperability knowledge is plus.
  • Knowledge of Databricks Unity Catalog & Collibra is also a plus.
  • Knowledge of FHIR a plus.
