Remote Controller (100% Work From Home)


Location: Remote from Latin America

Position Type: Full-time

Salary: $2,000 - $3,000 USD monthly

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8-5 Central Time US


Job Description:


Overall Responsibility: Responsible for overseeing finance and accounting operations for one of our clients.

Primary Functions: The Controller is the center point of all accounting and finance administration for all property and operating entities. This person will work closely with property management personnel to drive efficiencies and improve financial results of the company. The position can require 40-50 hours per week. Must be a self-starter, take initiative, and work with minimal supervision. Primary duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Compile Monthly Financials for each Property
  • Prepare and file all state & federal tax returns, filings for all corporate and personal entities
  • Regular tax planning and entity structure review
  • Investigate and pursue tax saving opportunities
  • Compile Investment Reports to distribute to Investors
  • Communicate project updates with Investors and facilitate investment distribution payments
  • Contract facilitation for new development projects
  • Create Annual Operating Budgets for each entity
  • Prepare and evaluate New Development/Acquisition proformas; give recommendations based on this
  • Seek opportunities for increased revenue and reduced expenses across all entities
  • Prepare Investment Models for new projects
  • Coordinate financing, facilitate communication, and information requests from banks, investors
  • Evaluate current institutional debt obligations for savings and risk mitigation
  • Oversee bank account reconciling for each entity
  • Process State filings and business entity reports
  • Facilitate 1099’s and other tax related information
  • Manage credit card expense reconciling
  • Facilitate Payroll
  • Process State filings and business entity reports
  • Complete operating agreements for new entity
  • Oversee cash flow management for all entities
  • Analyze return on equity invested based on time
  • Annualized returns are lower if you go 2yrs without receiving any return
  • Oversee monthly investment spreadsheet; tracking and understanding returns on each deal
  • Incorporate charts using pivot tables or power-bi

Qualifications

  • Professional with Team-Oriented Attitude
  • Fluent with MS Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Experience with Accounts Payable/Receivable
  • Experience with NetSuite, Sage or other ERP
  • Payroll experience
  • Real Estate finance experience or Property Management experience
  • Excellent English level both written and spoken
