Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Director to lead a crucial project focused on HIV prevention in homeless young adults at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The Project Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project, from planning and implementation to evaluation and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement a comprehensive project plan aimed at HIV prevention in homeless young adults, in alignment with CDC guidelines and objectives.
2. Coordinate and liaise with key stakeholders, including CDC officials, community organizations, healthcare providers, and homeless youth populations, to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
3. Manage project budget, resources, and timelines to ensure successful and timely completion of project deliverables.
4. Supervise project staff, including researchers, outreach workers, and volunteers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship as needed.
5. Monitor project progress and evaluate outcomes through data collection, analysis, and reporting, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative methods.
6. Identify and address any challenges or barriers to project success, implementing strategic solutions and adjustments as necessary.
7. Stay current on emerging trends, research, and best practices related to HIV prevention in homeless youth, incorporating relevant findings into project strategies.
8. Represent the CDC and the project at conferences, meetings, and other events to raise awareness, share knowledge, and build partnerships within the field.

Requirements

- Master's degree in public health, social work, or a related field; PhD preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, particularly in public health or HIV prevention programs.
- Strong understanding of issues related to homelessness, HIV/AIDS, and youth populations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with CDC guidelines and protocols related to HIV prevention and public health initiatives.
- Experience in grant writing, budget management, and program evaluation.
