About the role

 

As GridGain's Director of Product Marketing, you are a strategic thinker and exceptional communicator, with proven experience in conveying value and driving revenue from the GridGain platform. You are primarily responsible for product positioning, core messaging, technical content development, competitive analysis, and field enablement materials and training.

 

You will also play a critical role in defining go-to-market strategies for the platform and capitalizing on customer success with the platform. In addition, you will be asked to analyze selected markets, customers, and competitors for use in the formulation of business and product strategy, marketing requirements, content, and demand generation programs.

 

This role will report to the Chief Marketing Officer and will work closely with other teams within the company including Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Executive Management.

 

Location: This is a remote position. Candidates may be based anywhere in the United States or Canada and should be willing to travel for conferences and company meetings.

 

What you'll be doing

  • Serving as an expert on GridGain's platform, customer needs, and competitive landscape in order to accelerate adoption and usage
  • Working with the Chief Marketing Officer and Product teams to create and educate the company on core product positioning and messaging
  • Continually assessing both short-term and long-term differentiators of the platform
  • Highlighting the value of the platform at all stages, from product introduction, to training and adoption, to ongoing marketing efforts
  • Assessing market need /fit and adjusting market positioning accordingly
  • Writing, developing and producing sales enablement tools and assets to support BDR and account executive teams in their efforts and shorten sales cycles
  • Training the field organization on product and positioning in a way that can be easily understood and articulated by all team members
  • Writing, developing, and implementing marketing materials and campaigns that support revenue-generating activities including presentations, demonstration scripts, product data sheets, white papers, marketing collateral, lead generation programs, blog posts, and email outreach sequences
  • Working with customers to understand business requirements for translation into sales tools, and uncovering successes to create case studies
  • Serving as a key spokesperson at conferences and for media and analyst relations opportunities

 

What we're looking for

  • 7-10 years product marketing experience, with deep domain experience in real-time data infrastructure software, data integration, or streaming analytics, preferably at startups
  • The ability to understand complex technical features and translate into concise business language, creating crisp and compelling value propositions and messaging
  • Demonstrated passion and success in supporting sales organizations and growing revenue
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, visual) for both internal audiences and external-facing messaging
  • Strategic and self-directed
  • Data-driven decisionmaker
  • Hands-on experience across a broad range of martech technologies
  • Excellent teaming, organizational, project management and interpersonal skills
  • Management experience to build and manage a team when necessary
  • BA or BS, MBA a plus
