As the Associate Director of Global Logistics, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and secure movement of radiopharmaceutical products across the globe. You will lead a talented team of logistics professionals and work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize our logistics processes, meet regulatory compliance requirements, and support our patient centric mission and vision to provide life-saving radiopharmaceuticals to patients worldwide.

Key Accountabilities

  • Global Logistics Strategy: Develop and implement a global logistics strategy to support the company’s growth and operational objectives
  • Operational Management: Oversee the end-to-end logistics operations, including transportation, and distribution; ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products and material in domestic and international markets
  • Relationship Management: Maintain and manage all aspects of 3rd party logistics providers, forwarders, and customs and trade organizations
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance of Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and all applicable international logistics regulations and industry standards, including those specific to transportation and trade of hazardous materials
  • Logistics Materials & Supplies Management: Oversee sourcing and management of validated shippers for shipment of cold kits, biologics and small molecules under controlled temperatures, and hazardous materials (Class 3, Class 7)
  • Transportation and Distribution: Manage the transportation network, including air, sea, and road transportation, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers and distribution centers
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks, including transportation disruptions, regulatory changes, and geopolitical factors, through proactive planning and contingency measures
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of logistics operations, making data-driven decisions to optimize processes
  • Crisis Management: Develop and implement key communications, and contingency plans to address disruptions in the logistics networks, establishing a patient-centric mindset
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics department and collaborate with cross-functional teams to overall performance
  • Budget Management: Prepare and manage the logistics department budget, controlling costs while delivering high- quality logistics services

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field required
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role required
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or radiopharmaceutical industry is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, including FDA, IAEA, ISTA and other relevant standards
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to develop and executive strategic supply chain plans
  • Proficiency in logistics software and tools, including SAP
  • Demonstrated success in managing global logistics operation
