Avetta is looking for a Localization Program Manager with experience in global expansions coordinating language and country launches to support Sales and Product organizations. The candidate must be highly organized, thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a growth mindset.  

You will be in a role that is a hybrid of traditional jobs in planning, project management, and operations reporting to the Sr. Director of Localization. You will be able to operate across geographical boundaries, have cross-cultural sensitivity and experience of interacting directly with stakeholders and clients proactively defining best practice playbooks and processes entering into new geographies. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Lead the day-to-day management of country launch program 
  • Build relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders (Program Management, Sales, Legal, Billing, Implementation, Training and other teams) to ensure successful country launches 
  • Contribute to the planning, strategy and evaluation of country launches in collaboration with stakeholders, external regulatory experts, counsels as well as linguistic teams 
  • Oversee end-to-end country launch process using JIRA, Wrike and other platforms 
  • Conduct Requirements Review Sessions with stakeholders  
  • Triage country launch related projects to stakeholders including ETA of each workflow step, project briefing, budget, reference materials and properly prepared files 
  • Monitor performance on a weekly and monthly cadence, identify risks and opportunities, and deliver successfully against high organizational standards 
  • Own weekly and monthly reporting on the state of the initiatives owned 
  • Utilize metrics to deep-dive into issues and uncover business-driving trends and patterns 
  • Communicate program status, risks, and propose resolutions to key stakeholders 
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on best practices to ensure content is created with localization in mind minimizing issues at target 
  • Proactively identify process gaps and develop, document and implement efficient and scalable localization processes  
  • Conduct ongoing country updates, annual reviews, and monitoring of country/regional regulations 
  • Manage creation of program documents, launch plans, and data reports  
  • Outline and track country launch success metrics 
  • Stay informed on in-flight sales pursuits that require localization or need updates on progress of localization (inside Salesforce for tracking by quarter) 
  • Establish and track assigned country launch annual budget monthly 

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, International Studies, Linguistics, Localization or equivalent experience 
  • 5+ years of supporting language launches, global software launches, as well as expansions to net new countries 
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, work independently and be able to set direction of country launch program 
  • Ability to lead large scale technical and cross functional programs to delivery 
  • Experience managing localization of various content types such as UI, Marketing, Regulatory & Legal 
  • Experience using CAT tools to manage localization pipeline & workflows 
  • JIRA, Confluence, Wrike, Salesforce, Marketo experience 
  • Solid knowledge of localization and internationalization issues 
  • Deep knowledge of linguistic asset optimization  
  • Effective communication, problem-solving and organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail 
  • Fluency in English in addition to one of the following languages: French, Japanese, German, Dutch or Chinese  
  • PM Certification and PowerBI knowledge are a plus
