This role is part of our Brand and Advertising team based in Amsterdam.  Our team is a vibrant mix of talents, ranging from  Brand Strategists, Creatives, and Influencer Marketers to Account managers, Producers, and Video editors.  As a creative digital marketing agency, we mix old-fashioned creative storytelling with the best of what today’s technology has to offer to deliver exceptional and engaging digital experiences that build lasting relationships with our clients like Bol and Philips to name a few.

 

JOB PURPOSE

This role is part of our social creative team. We deliver quality content across all social channels that is platform-first, engaging and always on trend. The team is small but growing and incredibly versatile & talented. We are seeking an organised and culture-obsessed Social Media Manager to support the team in the developing a highly engaged community for some of the world’s biggest and most exciting brands including, but not limited to, Philips, Bol & Grolsch. 

You’ll have experience in managing multiple social media platforms and have excellent communication and organisation skills to support and manage the running of accounts and social media activity, this will include client management and communication, ensuring clear briefings, supporting with resource as well as scheduling, posting, gathering social insights and identifying the latest trends and platform updates! 

It goes without saying that you’ll know the latest social trends, memes, viral sounds and breaking news before anyone else does – and be able to bring them to a weekly newsroom. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creating a debrief with the client (including calendar);
  • Briefing the creative teams (cultural content);
  • Guarding the briefing and brand guidelines during the creative process;
  • Alignment with traffic on planning;
  • Alignment with paid social on briefing/(paid) assets when needed;
  • Ensuring assets are created and delivered on time, according to briefing AND brand guidelines;
  • Delivery of assets to client via appointed tools;
  • Creating “toolkits” for external parties;
  • Oversee the junior social media manager in scheduling assets in social media management tools;
  • Organic reporting & recommendations based on KPIs and trends;
  • Ongoing social listening, spotting trends etc;
  • Overall go-to thought leader on everything organic social (trends, tooling etc.);
  • Completing work to a deadline, often with fast turnaround times
  • Be aware of, and respond to current platform updates, media trends and pop culture
  • Use your experience and ideas to contribute to the development of our creative process

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Fluent in Dutch and Dutch culture
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills 
  • Relevant experience in a social media manager role within a creative and fast paced environment
  • Expert knowledge of scheduling and social media platforms including TikTok
  • Finger on the pulse for trends (social, cultural, gaming, music)  
  • Brilliant, creative writer 
  • Strong presentation skills 
  • Ability to react quickly within a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to remain focused under pressure and work under tight deadlines 
  • Works well within a team and with clients
