Azure Data Engineer

ARFA Solutions, LLC is looking for a skilled Azure Data Engineer to join our team. As an Azure Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing data solutions on the Azure platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design data models, and develop data pipelines for efficient data processing and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data solutions on the Azure platform, including Scala, SQL and Spark data lakes, data warehouses, and data pipelines.
• Gather and analyze business requirements to design and develop data models.
• Develop and implement data pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
• Optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing for performance and scalability.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security in all data solutions.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to support their data needs.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data solutions for performance and reliability.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure data services and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Azure Data Engineer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Azure data services including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database/DW, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
• Experience in data modeling, ETL/ELT development, and data warehousing.
• Proficient in SQL and programming languages such as Python or C#.
• Experience with data integration and transformation using tools like SSIS or Informatica.
• Knowledge of data governance, data security, and data quality principles.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing and distributed computing concepts.
• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, Azure Data Scientist) are a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
