Senior Rust Protocol Engineer
🛠️ What you’ll be working on
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Rust Developer to join our dynamic team. The primary responsibilities of this role include:
• Lead Madara development. This involves getting Madara 100% compatible with the Starknet spec, developing robust pipelines for DA, proving and verification, ensuring compatibility with Starknet tooling and optimisation Madara performance.
• Building the Karnot CLI tool which makes getting started with Madara a breeze. The CLI should be compatible with multiple OS architectures, should be easy to install and must follow proper versioning and Open Source guidelines.
• Brainstorming and architecting the proof aggregation service for Madara app chains. This would be a highly critical component which is crucial to achieve trustless applications at internet scale.
• In general, raise the bar of protocol engineering at the company, be updated with newer innovations in the space and build the most powerful framework to enable app chain developers.
🕵️♂️ What we’re looking for
• 4+ years of work experience in backend or protocol engineering systems
• Experience building and maintaining large-scale, high-performance applications or systems software in Rust
• Deep understanding of Rust's ownership model, borrowing, lifetimes, traits, and other core language concepts
• Experience with multi-threaded and asynchronous programming models
• Familiarity with memory management and performance optimization techniques.

• Experience in systems programming, concurrency, and low-level programming
• Bonus: Are involved in the web3 ecosystem, worked with Substrate framework, Rust CLI tools, Starknet
📍 Location
For candidates residing in India, we would prefer you come in person to Gurgaon. However, this role is also open for people outside India, in which case it will be remote.
