POSITION

Manage and grow all aspects of institutional consultant relationships among mid, large, and global consultants located in the Southeastern US.

Interact with consultants to establish and activate ratings, manage existing shared clients, develop investment strategy, review account performance, proactively identify new solutions, and share market developments.

Develop a broad and deep understanding of consultants’ priorities, needs, and challenges and work to meet those needs by leveraging the capabilities of the entire firm.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Partner with sales colleagues, portfolio managers, product specialists, client relations, and senior management to manage all service, sales, and support activities for assigned consultants
  • Establish, retain, and improve the quality, breadth, and depth of consultant relationships in territory to position Allspring for success
  • Identify and influence decision makers at the highest level of global and top tier consultant organizations
  • Build, maintain, and execute upon complex and detailed distribution plans for assigned consultants to grow Allspring AUM
  • Identify and act on sales and service opportunities that improve depth of consultant relationships
  • Undertake additional projects at a senior level, both within the team and across the organization (ex: partner pricing, OCIO strategy, pension committees, DC trends)
  • Serve as a senior resource and leader within the consultant relations team who informs and educates on the consultant/institutional asset management marketplace
  • Provide guidance and serve as a mentor to more junior team members and associates

CANDIDATE 

Ideal candidate is adept at independent decision making and problem solving. Consistently exceeds service needs of consultants and their underlying clients to produce significant and tangible growth and retention of AUM and revenue. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Series 7/63
  • 7+ years institutional consultant relations experience preferred with 3+ years acceptable in certain circumstances – prior institutional quality sales/relationship management experience can translate
  • Minimum of 5+ years of coverage and success within an assigned territory
  • Demonstrate excellent understanding of consultant/institutional asset management industry and the needs of all institutional client types
  • Possess a strong knowledge of traditional asset classes/products, market trends, risk management, operations, and compliance
  • Ability to work in transparently and collaboratively within a team environment essential

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • CFA Charterholder
  • CIMA, CAIA, etc.
