Job Description

Working as a Team Lead, within the  Doctor Support Team, you will play an integral part in overseeing of day-to-day operations for the Alternaleaf medical practitioner's team. The position involves a range of responsibilities, including onboarding, clinical support, issue reporting, and collaboration with scheduling and nursing teams for seamless service delivery. Please note applicants must be an AHPRA registered Registers Nurse (RN) to be considered for this position. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily operations for medical practitioners, ensuring desired service levels.
  • Performance management of Doctors to ensure the standard of service is met
  • Monitor and manage queries and escalations during shifts, taking corrective actions.
  • Analyze data to improve processes, allocate resources efficiently, and enhance patient satisfaction.
  • Identify and document incidents and risks for patient safety and workplace health.
  • Contribute to evidence-based clinical guidelines and processes, adhering to professional standards.
  • Collaborate with clinic and operations leadership for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to workforce planning and lead interviewing/hiring processes.
  • Deliver on individual and departmental OKRs and KPIs.
  • Foster a commitment to continuous improvement within the team.

Qualifications

The Team Leader - Doctor Support role is best suited to an experienced Registered Nurse (RN), with a proven track record in cultivating a collaborative team environment and fostering a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate should exhibit proactive problem-solving skills, emphasizing a drive for continuous process improvement. Additionally, the successful candidate will showcase a history of building therapeutic relationships with key stakeholders through effective communication and collaboration.

Skills: 

  • RN with minimum of 5 years experience and current AHPRA registrations without practice restrictions
  • Proven expertise in the assessment and management of chronic diseases.
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Ability to have difficult conversations around performance and expectations 
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain quality standards and adhere to best practices.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, both in written and verbal forms.
  • Display knowledge of professional standards and familiarity with the legal and ethical frameworks governing patient care in Australia.
  •  Possess an understanding of quality standards, including the National Safety and Quality Primary and Community Healthcare Standards and Good Medical Practice. Showcase a demonstrated comprehension of their impact and implementation for the provision of high-quality patient care
