Technical Specialist – Software Build Environment

Join our client's global DevOps team and play a key role in shaping software build environments to enhance user experiences and improve project outcomes. You'll be pivotal in deploying a global build framework, improving existing solutions, and integrating innovative, game-changing technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance an inner-source project based on Bazel, utilized by thousands of engineers globally.
• Review and implement code changes suggested by both external and internal stakeholders.
• Assist project teams in adopting our global Bazel build framework and provide expert advice on its use.
• Create, provide, and maintain training and documentation related to Bazel and the build framework.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with support from your colleagues.

Requirements:

• Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Experience with scripting languages and familiarity with C/C++ code.
• Proficient with build environments and configuration management systems such as Bazel, Make, CMake, GIT, Jira, and Docker.
• Knowledge of agile software development practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.
• Attributes of curiosity, strategic thinking, and innovation.

Additional Information:

• This is a remote/hybrid position. Attendance at the office is required during workshops, which typically occur a maximum of two times per year.
