THE ROLE

DEPT® is looking for a seasoned executive to lead our sales and business development efforts in the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) verticals to join our team. In this role, you will lead the sales of commerce, data, design, and technology services to top companies in these sectors across the Americas region. DEPT® is a pioneering, global tech and marketing agency. We help our clients stay ahead by producing some of the most progressive work in the world.

JOB PURPOSE

As part of the sales team and working closely with the US marketing team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and acquiring new clients within the BFSI sectors.

To be successful in this role, it is imperative to have a curious, commercially focused mind. You must fully understand the BFSI verticals and develop go-to-market and engagement strategies demonstrating DEPT®’s capabilities. As part of your role, you will also support events and have a friendly and consultative approach to selling.

You must be flexible in your communication approach, ask the right questions, and work through your existing personal network and alongside our marketing team to reach the senior stakeholders of net new and existing clients. You will be consultative in your approach, brilliant at building relationships, and adept at nurturing relationships. An entrepreneurial spirit with a bias for action and problem-solving is necessary to be successful in this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Mature our BFSI industry community and establish DEPT® with top brands in the America’s region
  • Pinpoint strategic accounts within the industry and collaborate across markets to formulate effective account strategies. Actively seek out target/greenfield accounts.
  • Develop solutions around our services that resonate with medium and large-scale BFSI brands.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through outbound prospecting efforts, networking, and relationship building.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their business objectives, and providing strategic guidance on digital initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including strategy, creative, data, and technology to scope projects that will meet client objectives.
  • Work with our BDR team to develop outbound campaigns and lead generation activities, measure and iterate fast to drive results.
  • Contribute to business development and solutions conversations across multiple DEPT®’s current clients as they pertain to BFSI
  • Responsible for achieving $5-$7million + in annual revenue targets
  • Work with our growth team to respond to RFPs, RFIs and RFQs

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Essential:

  • 10+ years of account management and consulting experience
  • Experience selling in the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance markets
  • Proven track record of selling engineering, data services, or commerce solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across markets to conceptualize, design, and develop data, commerce, and technology solutions that address client needs
  • Able to partner with clients to understand their growth needs and recommend solutions that add value to their business
  • Experienced in building relationships with executives (CTOs, CMOs, and CIOs) and business decision-makers
  • A self-starter attitude that thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to coordinate projects across multiple teams and functions
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on market trends.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $150,000 - $175,000. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, expertise, and organizational impact. This is based on a 40-hour workweek and leveling. Keep in mind, we're flexible.
