The MSP Business Development Director role (MSP BD will seek to develop partnerships between North Carolina companies that offer education benefits to their employees and Wake Forest School of Professional Studies and Wake Forest Business School. The goal is that these companies subsidize their employees who wish to obtain Master’s level degrees at these Wake schools. As these schools are located 80 miles apart and share a common campus in Charlotte, the MSP BD will be expected to develop in-person relationships with relevant companies.
Primary Responsibilities:
Utilize pre-existing relationships with companies and executives in HR, Training, and other functional areas at large and medium-sized companies located in North Carolina that have education benefit programs for their employees.
Develop new relationships with large and medium-sized companies located in North Carolina that have education benefit programs for their employees.
Conduct strategic discussions with these companies about how to advance their employees’ careers, skills, and engagement and how Wake Forest School of Professional Studies and Wake Forest School of Business have programs that will meet their employees’ needs.
Differentiate the Wake programs from competitor programs.
Learn and communicate the full scope of Kaplan’s businesses to prospective partners.
Complete education deals that encourage the companies to have their qualified employees attend programs with either or both of the two Wake schools.
Develop relationships with staff and leadership at Wake SPS and Wake School of Business to better understand the offerings, to seek their support in developing and closing deals, and to propose new offerings based on client/partner discussions.
Agree to sales goals.
Manage, grow, and report out on active and pipeline accounts.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
5 years in strategic sales or consulting; experience selling to North Carolina companies
Ability to develop and maintain strategic relationships; consultative sales experience; experience selling to corporations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s or other graduate degree, as we will be offering Wake graduate degrees to companies;
Education or education benefits-related sales experience in selling to medium to large companies.
