Roles and Responsibility

As the main engineer for the project, you will be responsible for data analysis, model development/improvement, and reporting of results in collaboration with our solution designers (responsible for customer negotiations, project management, etc.). In addition, you will supervise machine learning engineers in other projects and be involved in organizational management.

【Specific duties】

  • Develop solutions using machine learning technologies such as deep learning (same as machine learning engineers)
  • Evaluate and provide advice from a technical perspective during the project proposal stage
  • Supervise projects that machine learning engineers are in charge of
  • Work related to organizational management of the Engineering Department (hiring, evaluation, training, etc.)

  • Development of optimization methods for factory production processes (semiconductors)
  • Development of a cloud-based search and recommendation system (recruiting)
  • Development of image anomaly detection systems (transportation)
Minimum Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in research and development, etc. using machine learning
  • 3+ years of experience in Python development
  • Master's/PhD degree in science or engineering (computer science, physics, mathematics, etc.)
  • Business level Japanese or above
Preferred Requirements

[Machine Learning Skills]

  • Master/PhD degree related to computer science
  • Contribution to international conferences and journals related to machine learning
  • Comprehensive knowledge of machine learning in general and expertise in specific areas
  • Experience teaching machine learning techniques in academia
  • Experience in applying machine learning techniques to business problems

[Engineering Skills]

  • Experience working in remote environments (on-prem, AWS, etc.) and containers (Docker)
  • Experience managing code using GitHub or GitLab
  • Experience in C++/Go/Rust development
  • Experience developing systems/services using machine learning
  • Participation in OSS development related to machine learning (including your own development experience)
  • Experience using MLOps

  • English communication skills (as some of our employees are non-Japanese)
  • Experience in catching up with non-specialized technologies
  • Experience in management and member development

Conditions / Benefits

Employment system: Full time

Location: Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo

・Remote work available

Annual Salary: 8,500,000 - 12,000,000 JPY ・based on experience, ability, and previous work experience ・Determined based on skills, experience, and ability

・Overtime allowance (paid separately based on overtime hours) ・Bonuses twice a year (varies according to individual performance and company performance)

Hours: 09:45 - 18:30 (1 hour break included)
