Transfinder is seeking a high-performing Sales Consultant to join our team, selling our transportation management software solutions to school districts throughout the United States and Canada.

What will you do?

Transfinder is seeking highly motivated sales professionals with a track record of exceeding personal and corporate goals to join our Sales Consultant Team. The company is in a high-growth phase with expansion plans that make this opportunity very attractive to high-performing sales professionals who want to contribute to our growth. Quarterly compensation plans reward both individual and team performance.

 

This individual will sell Transfinder’s Student Transportation Management software solution (SaaS) to school districts throughout the United States and Canada. This position will have a responsibility to manage the complete sales process, initial sales discovery calls, evaluation, software demonstration, pricing reviews, RFPs, and closing of the sale demos via both in person and via remote virtual meetings and closing deals. Sales Consultants, reporting to the Sales Manager are responsible for expanding Transfinder’s market share in the United States and Canada. They are responsible for creating compelling presentations on our products and services tailored to the specific needs of school districts within their assigned geographic area. By demonstrating the value of applying Transfinder products and services to improve efficiencies and reduce costs, they gain the confidence of prospective clients and motivate them to sign on with the company.

  • Presentation and closing of our proprietary student transportation management SaaS solution.
  • Understand trends and issues affecting school districts in their assigned geographic areas
  • Have a grasp of Transfinder’s products and services and how they help school districts achieve their goals.
  • Build strong relations to drive sales and meet department and company sales goals.
  • Effectively communicate the benefits and value of our solution.
  • Conduct software demos via GoToMeeting.
  • Consistently follow-up to close deals.
  • Provide clear documentation and record keeping of client interaction.
  • Understanding of the issues the target buyers face – what keeps them up at night.
  • Aptitude and confidence to converse with senior/key decision makers without worry.
  • Ability to handle and deflect objections that come up from budget holders/decision-makers.
  • Contribute to team success by accomplishing results as needed.
  • Maintaining constant expertise about Transfinder’s SaaS products and keeping abreast of the changing student transportation industry.
  • Act as both an independent contributor and corporate team player in executing plans that lead to greater market acceptance and sales.
  • Act as a creative problem solver with the ability to bring others along with key decisions, strategies, and tactics both internally and externally.
  • Travel to prospect sites as requested and give demonstrations of our products and services at conferences in assigned geographic areas.
  • Attend and represent Transfinder at selected industry conferences.

  • 5+ years of inside sales experience in a technology-based company.

  • Remote and face to face sales experience.
  • Proficiency with CRM software for pipeline management.
  • Excellent phone and presentation skills.
  • Goal oriented and results-driven.
  • Proven team player as well as independent contributor.
  • Understanding of public sector and experience with software solutions.
  • Experience with SaaS sales.
  • Experience selling solutions that include GPS and Telematics is a plus.

Salary $60,000 to $80,000
First year target earnings are $150,000 - $180,000. Top performers can make over $300,000. 

Salary is established based on various factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job related knowledge, education and training, skills, and geographic location. These factors are taken into consideration during the employment offer process.
