Modern Life is hiring our second Sales Development Representative! From facilitating initial conversations to developing team-wide best practices, you will be an integral member of our Brokerage team. As the first line of communication with prospects, our SDRs will be responsible for finding the right people that need and would benefit from Modern Life! Simply put, you get to call financial advisors we've made sure fit in our target market and pitch them on the value Modern Life brings to them. Once they are interested, you will hand them off to our Brokerage Managers.

What you'll do:
  • Spend 75% of your day making outbound phone calls to our target advisors
  • Add 10+ new sales-qualified leads per week through creative outbound prospecting
  • Leverage sales tools such as Hubspot and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to maximize effectiveness
  • Achieve and exceed weekly/monthly metrics
  • Participate in daily team huddles to celebrate wins and share goals
  • Shape, iterate, and scale our sales practices - taking initiative to improve the team’s practices, tools, and content
  • Help foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and innovation across the team

  • Who you are:
  • 1-2 years of experience in an outbound sales role- experience financial services or insurance is preferred.
  • Have the ability to think on your feet in a conversation and answer unexpected questions with ease
  • Demonstrate empathy for Financial Advisors’ challenges
  • Intellectually curious
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized and able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Base salary range for this role is $45,000 to $55,000 and OTE is $55,000 to $70,000 annually
