Client Marketing Specialist (Brazil)

In a Nutshell // 


The Client Marketing Specialist will help drive customer success for Symphonic's top clients (artists and labels of different genres). This person will help develop innovative, efficient and creative marketing strategies that pertain to different areas of Symphonic for the benefit of the artist and their releases. Day-to-day involves providing customized customer service through WhatsApp, Email, meetings both online and in person, and so forth, acting ultimately as the client ambassador in our marketing team.



What you will do // 

 

  • Nurture healthy and productive relationships with Symphonic’s top artists and labels using clear, proactive, and empathetic communication skills, acting as a go-to for information among clients and internal staff.
  • Design strategies connecting the overall Marketing goals with the operations in both Client Relations and Partner Relations, promoting and endorsing the Industry's and Symphonic's best practices for the sake of the artist.  
  • Apply the best practices in tools such as WhatsApp, ZenDesk, Slack, Monday.com, E-mail, and etc, when tackling client relations' different fronts.
  • Apply active listening in relationships with clients to implement communication strategies and workflows. Anticipate, prevent, and solve problems as quickly as possible. Occasionally take those problems to our Symphonic global team, suggesting improvement ideas and/or solutions.
  • Have deep knowledge and be regularly updated on the best practices of the Music Industry in Brazil AND of the Symphonic CMS platform. Apply these best practices in regular training with clients, onboarding and recycling their knowledge on different themes related to the Industry and our system (i.e. Catalog Transfer, SplitShare, Analytics, etc);
  • Ensure the smooth functioning of Symphonic Brazil's Marketing processes, helping different stakeholders obtain relevant information on time. Arrange release plan meetings, gather relevant marketing drivers, secure information for DSP opportunities, notify internal teams about metadata updates, and so forth;
  • Collaborate with Symphonic’s local team to plan, develop and implement marketing strategies following the Industry's best practices. Arrange regular touch-base meetings, giving proactive and creative suggestions to artists and labels's strategic plans;
  • Collaborate with Symphonic's global team to develop personalized client reports, using the appropriate tools to build case studies. Identify different promotion opportunities linking Client and Corporate Marketing. 
  • Attend in-person events involving clients and Partners, as well as other relevant meetings. Be able to occasionally assist with the logistics of account and release management, meeting metadata standards, correct ingesting of content, applying content takedowns, solving YouTube claims, and any other tasks related to client success inside Symphonic.


What you need to have // 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Advertisement, Communications, Music, or business-related field - plus at least 4 years of relevant experience in the Music Industry.
  • Impeccable communication skills both written and verbal, being able to explain simply the most difficult topics.
  • Perfect interpersonal relations skills, with a readiness to help and offer proactive solutions. 
  • Intermediate English
  • Must be able to travel on a regular basis and attend in-person meetings (potentially 25% of the time) 
  • Analytical perspective of customer relations and how it relates to other Marketing areas, with the ability to build regular reports of developments
  • A deep knowledge and insatiable thirst for the latest news in the music industry
  • Applicable creativity related to music promotion and release strategy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Slack, Monday.com is a plus


What is nice to have // 

  • At least four years of experience working in a key client relationship role at a record label, distributor, artist management company, publisher, agency, or DSP with the following qualities:
    • A foundational understanding of the intricacies of streaming and download music retailers, metadata style guides, delivery and ingestion protocols and pricing models.
    • Proven success in developing emerging artists or labels. 
    • Solid network and relationships in the Brazilian music industry.
