Job Description

As an Endpoint Security Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the security of our organization’s systems. Your expertise in Microsoft Defender products, Intune, and Autopilot will be instrumental in maintaining a robust security posture. Let’s delve into the specifics:

Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Leadership:
    • Lead endpoint security initiatives and provide guidance to internal teams and users.
    • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of endpoint security solutions, including Microsoft Defender.
  2. Policy Development and Implementation:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce endpoint security policies and best practices.
    • Monitor security alerts and respond promptly to potential threats.
  3. Vulnerability Management:
    • Perform regular vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation strategies.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest security features and trends, sharing this knowledge with the organization.
  4. Incident Response:
    • Assist in incident response activities, leveraging Microsoft Defender capabilities.
    • Contain, investigate, and recover from security incidents effectively.
  5. Intune and Autopilot Expertise:
    • Manage and maintain Microsoft Intune and Autopilot services.
    • Handle device enrollment, configuration, application deployment, and policy enforcement.
    • Provide technical support to Intune and Autopilot users.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of experience in technology and security environments within large global organizations.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and technologies.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience supporting and managing Microsoft Defender products, including Microsoft Defender Antivirus, ATP, and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
  • Technical Lead/SME experience is highly desired.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Defender tools and technologies, such as Microsoft Defender Security Center and PowerShell cmdlets.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to evolving threats.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Defender Associate or Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst) are a plus.
  • A passion for cybersecurity and continuous learning.

This is a permanent home-based role in Costa Rica. No relocation available.
