About the team: 

Digital.ai is hiring a Cloudops Engineer Grade 1 to take the Cloud Operations team to the next level. You will join a distributed team providing operational and deployment support to Digital.ai’s SaaS customers and Engineers. 

We want people who are eager to learn and help us build out a common platform that will be used to host all Digital.ai SaaS applications, from securing customer applications to providing insight into the entire development lifecycle. We are the undisputed leaders in our industry, looking for people to help us. 

As a team member, you will help craft, develop and implement Digital.ai’s common infrastructure for provisioning SaaS applications. In addition, you will be tasked with working directly with application support and development teams to provide operational support and mentorship for cloud-related work. 

About the role: 

Cloudops Engineers are the first point of contact for our Continuous Testing Cloudops tasks, issues and deployment in the data centers. They are responsible for deploying and monitoring various Cloudops resources and the application itself. They need to work closely with Data center facilities and Data center admins across the globe to carry out various tasks to organize and optimize DC hardware. 

What you'll do: 

  • Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot mobile devices remotely and on-site. 
  • Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot various servers based on different OS flavors like MacOS, VMware, Linux, and Windows 
  • Handling different monitoring and alerting tools like PagerDuty, Addigy, Soti etc. 
  • Working with Networking devices like Meraki and Mist Access points. 
  • Escalate issues to Cloud Operation Systems and Application Support Team and updating customers regarding issues status. 
  • Exposure to global datacenter and customers. 
  • Receiving deliveries and organizing repairs 
  • Assisting with coordination of bigger / international projects 
  • Documenting inventory and work performed. 
  • Ensuring the site matches our standards. 

What you'll bring: 

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or 1-2 years of work experience in the industry. 
  • You have some experience working with tier 1/2 cloud providers or with Desktop/Network Support. 
  • You are driven, passionate about technology and self-directed with some project management skills to be organized and productive with little direction. 
  • Adapting to the fast-paced way of working at times. 
  • Working remote from the rest of the team. 
  • Responsibility and accountability for your own work. 
  • Availability to work on Weekends. 
  • You have a permanent work permit or citizenship in Canada. 

Desired Skills: 

  • 2-3 years of help desk support/desktop support/in-house IT support. 
  • Learning and proactive attitude to configure and troubleshoot systems. 
  • Knowledge in Windows Systems- Must, plus: Mac, Linux is added advantage. 
  • Basic knowledge of networking and Virtual Machines (VMWare). 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ready to work in high available 24/7 work environment in rotating shifts of 8-9 hours (5 shifts per week including weekend and Night)
