ERG is seeking talented, motivated individuals to join our expanding water and wastewater engineering team. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with the US EPA, state agencies, and other organizations to address today’s most pressing challenges in water quality, resources, and infrastructure.
Job Description: Providing technical assistance to small, underserved water and wastewater utilities across the country to access funding and design, build, and maintain sustainable, resilient water infrastructure systems and provide clean water to their communitiesAssessing and promoting innovative water and wastewater treatment technologies and developing resources to reduce barriers to adoptionEvaluating the design, costs, and environmental impacts of potential water and wastewater infrastructure projectsConducting sampling and survey programs, performing advanced data analysis of environmental sampling results, and developing concise data analysis reportsDeveloping methods to control discharges of PFAS and other emerging contaminants that impact human health and the environmentSupporting wastewater-based surveillance programs to facilitate COVID-19 and future public health response effortsQualifications and Skills: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in an engineering fieldMinimum GPA of 3.0 (college transcripts required)0 to 8 years of experienceStrong writing and communication skillsProficiency in using spreadsheets and other software programs to compile, analyze, and present dataStrong time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects in a dynamic work environmentExcellent attention to detail and critical thinking, and the ability to develop quality client-ready deliverablesTeam player and motivator with the ability to foster cooperationAbility and interest in traveling
Ideal candidates will have experience with the following:Understanding of water and wastewater treatment Familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting requirementsTechnical writing experienceStatistical software packages (e.g., R) and coursework in statisticsCoursework or experience in environmental science or toxicologyERG offers competitive salaries and excellent benefits, including health and dental insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, educational benefits, FSAs, a generous 401k plan, profit sharing, an EAP, 11-20 paid vacation days per year, 10 paid holidays per year, 56 hours or more of sick leave (based on the state you work in) per year (pro-rated for part-time) and more. The salary range for all positions depends on the years and type of experience.
