SUMMARY
As a Solution Architect - DevOps Platforms, you will play a critical role in architecting and designing DevOps platform solutions for our clients while providing technical expertise and support during the pre-sales process. If you are passionate about DevOps practices, this is an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge solutions and drive successful outcomes for our customers.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a trusted advisor to our customers, understanding their business needs and requirements.
- Architect and, design DevOps platform solutions based on best practices. Provide guidance and recommendations on best practices for DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and cloud-native technologies.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their infrastructure, application, and business requirements, and design tailored solutions.
- Conduct workshops and knowledge transfer to customers to drive adoption and ensure successful implementations.
- Prepare and deliver technical proposals, solution architectures, oversee proof of Concepts (POC) and statements of work (SoW) in collaboration with technical specialists.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in the DevOps and open-source ecosystem.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and technical, to provide input on product evaluations and market trends.
DESIRED PROFILE
- Proven experience working as a DevOps Architect or similar role, with hands-on experience in architecting and implementing DevOps solutions.
- Strong expertise in one or more of the current DevOps solutions, such as Red Hat OpenShift, Ansible, SUSE Rancher and Neuvector, Terraform…
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD practices, infrastructure as code, and automation tools.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to analyze customer requirements and propose appropriate technical solutions.
- Prior experience in a pre-sales or customer-facing role is highly desirable.
- Maintain good relationships with technology partners (ex. RedHat, SUSE…)
- Relevant product certifications are an asset. As needed, maintain or perform certifications required for our technology partners.
SKILLS AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
- Ability to work in both French and English (spoken and written). The job requires proficiency in English at a professional level. The candidate will interact on a weekly basis either with R2i (2) offices in Ontario or with various English-speaking customers or business partners.;
