Jira Cloud Engineer

Your role will be to administer the Jira Cloud ecosystem on a daily basis while evolving this ecosystem over time to help the employees leverage the full potential of Jira through Apps, Integrations, and Self-Service. You will achieve this by working with skilled and passionate teammates, as well as our trusted partners.

You will support a complex ecosystem of geographically distributed teams and processes with one goal in mind: empower these teams to focus on doing their best work and have an amazing collaboration experience.

Responsibilities:

• Administer, configure, and support a Jira Cloud environment with close to 6,000 users, over a million issues, 550 projects, and 800 custom fields.
• Review and adjust work systems modifications requested by users for their work systems transformations
• Flag tickets for outsourcing partner shareback when working agreement is not followed
• Review and prioritize requests for new Jira Apps from the employees.
• Escalate app-related support issues to the appropriate application vendor
• Review and share updates on monthly releases from Atlassian (new features, bug fixes)
• Participate in the Jira administration team’s projects
• Manage and review the work that needs to be completed by 3rd party vendors
• Configure integrations and security, solve access and permissions issues
• Author and maintain operational process documentation, runbooks, technical designs, and shared standards

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience with Jira Cloud
• 2+ years experience with Jira Service Management Cloud
• 4+ years experience with Groovy scripting with Jira (ScriptRunner)
• Advanced proficiency with Atlassian Jira Cloud Software and its most popular add-ons (Advanced Planning, Automation, eazyBI, ScriptRunner, Structure)
• Proficiency in Asset and configuration management in Jira Service Management
• Advanced proficiency in other SaaS work management tools such as Airtable and Trello (or equivalent)
• Experience participating in large multi-person technical efforts, including hybrid teams composed of full-time employees and 3rd party vendors
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban
• Excellent remote working skills: you thrive in a hybrid work environment and are very comfortable with asynchronous communication, providing timely and relevant updates on your progress and blockers as they arise.
• Excellent English language skills: you are comfortable presenting to large audiences and excel at writing in-depth application how-tos, documenting processes, and producing user-facing documentation

Desired Qualifications:

• Proficiency with Atlassian Access (Atlassian Guard)
• Proficiency with Jira Data Center
• Proficiency in other programming and scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript or Python
• Experience using reporting tools such as eazyBI for Jira or Tableau
• Proficiency with Atlassian Analytics
• Completed the ACP-120 Jira Administration for Cloud Certification
• Completed the ACP-420 Managing Jira Service Projects for Cloud Certification
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
