Role Purpose: 

Jumio is currently seeking an experienced Procurement Manager reporting into VP, Corporate controller Understanding Jumio’s business and providing support for the company’s Vision of building and leading world class Procurement team to ensure efficient buying & ease of business for all the internal stakeholders. The goal of procurement is to ensure that value is created in the process and the total cost of ownership is thoroughly analyzed. Key aspects to this role, includes: Research, Cost Analysis, Inventory Control, Projection Planning & reporting key procurement metrics.

Role Value: 

The Procurement Manager will be a hands-on contributor and will partner with all parts of Jumio to improve Procurement operations and business decision making.  This role will be instrumental in supporting the Operations team of Jumio’s business to ensure business decisions are data-driven, impactful and value-added.

Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing suppliers of goods and services
  • Partner with Product to negotiate reseller agreement for third party risk signals
  • Negotiate terms with suppliers such as price, quality of goods, deadlines, expectations, etc.
  • Evaluate and compare products and services to determine which best meet the organization’s needs
  • Strategize with various departments and suppliers to ensure the organization’s future needs will be seamlessly met
  • Create purchase orders on P2P Platform and tally these with supply requests and orders
  • Perform Cost Analysis and set appropriate benchmarks
  • Evaluate and enhance our operations in local spend while researching and prospecting developments in global spend
  • Monitor inventory to ensure the flow of goods remains positive
  • Liaise with Legal & Finance Department to ensure that any contractual obligations are favorable to the company and meet the necessary compliances
  • Strong Adherence to Company Procurement Policy and strong implementation of the same
  • Collaboration - Work closely with the projects team to understand details of procurement requirements

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years Proven experience working as a procurement Professional in the same area required
  • Modeling everyday a Business-first mode of operation, along with Teamwork & Maturity
  • Strong Knowledge of Procure to Pay Platforms and relevant experience of having handled such tools
  • Strong knowledge of the industry and market conditions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Impeccable negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Flexible to work long hours as demanded by projects
  • Atlassian Suite Experience 
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Supply chain management
