VIQ Solutions stands at the forefront of providing transcription services to a variety of industries as legal and judicial agencies embrace technology-driven workflows. We are seeking experienced Legal/Judicial contract candidates skilled in transcribing depositions and hearings for a 100% remote independent contractor role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transcribe depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings with precision and accuracy
  • Process audio recordings to produce verbatim transcripts according to style guides
  • Maintain a keen eye for detail and proficiency in legal terminology

Requirements

  • Previous experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription
  • Strong listening skills and adherence to deadlines and style guides
  • Exceptional literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote setting
  • Proficient typing speed and accuracy
  • Capability to handle diverse and potentially sensitive audio/text content
  • Successful completion of a background check
  • Familiarity with legal terminology; court reporting students also welcome
