Job Description Summary

The Invoice Processing Manager is an industry professional who understands the value of results-driven customer service. Position is responsible for directly managing between 2-6 personnel within their department including contracted employees. Position is also responsible for all client communications, oversight of the IP department (including implementation) and resolving any invoice processing issues. Position is also required to perform complex problem-solving and IP audits using internal program reports and Excel analytics.

What You’ll Do (Functions & Responsibilities)

  • Plan and direct all IP services & representatives, delivering high level executive & administrative support for daily business operations.
  • Track and ensure team is hitting performance metrics.
  • Help team members troubleshoot process issues and propose new solutions if needed.
  • Manage multiple on-going project tasks of various complexities, using several CRM systems and internal platforms to meet strict billing deadlines.
  • Train and direct IP team members and contractors to deliver outstanding customer service with IP and call center etiquette.
  • Responsible for staff hiring, goal setting, coaching/training, performance evaluations, etc.
  • Initiate and develop projects and training sessions that enhance departmental performance as well as customer facing training.
  • Collaborate with senior office staff and account managers to implement new business strategies.
  • Produce ad-hoc financial reporting, internal audits and reports to senior management or to external clients.
Qualifications

What We’re Looking For (Minimum qualifications)

  • Team leadership in a fast-paced environment, specifically in a customer service or call center environment.
  • Problem solving skills and ability to propose solutions.
  • Ability to deliver superior customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of public utilities.
  • Familiarity with multifamily utility payments a plus.
  • Experience with commercial utilities, invoice processing and auditing.
  • Minimum typing speed of 50wpm (words per minute).

Education Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Accounting Operations or related field preferred
