GRID Alternatives’ SolarCorps Fellowship Program is an opportunity for highly motivated and enthusiastic people to join GRID Alternatives for an 11-month paid service term. In this position, you’ll gain valuable experience in the renewable energy and non-profit industries while making significant contributions to communities most impacted by environmental and economic injustice!

The Opportunity...

The SolarCorps Commercial Project Coordination Fellow will work directly with the Senior Commercial Project Manager to support project management of larger scale clean energy installations. The position is primarily remote office-based administrative support although there may be opportunities to visit sites or installations. For a highly motivated individual, this position will provide exposure to the overall commercial project life cycle and operations of a successful solar installation non-profit.

  • Support the project cycle for multifamily, commercial, and larger scale projects including scheduling, cost tracking, subcontractor coordination, and close-out processes
  • Review and update project information for completeness and accuracy
  • Identify opportunities to make improvements to project management processes and documentation
  • Other duties and projects as assigned


What You Need To Bring To This Role…

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Excellent communication skills and able to represent GRID Alternatives positively
  • Ability to learn and retain new concepts and technology quickly
  • Comfortable being part of a remote team
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, time management and decision-making skills
  • Proficient computer skills, Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office
  • Interest in and enthusiasm for renewable energy, community development, green jobs and/or helping families and communities
  • Flexibility and willingness to embrace change, go the extra mile, and bring ideas and energy to a rapidly evolving organization.
  • When working remotely, you must have access to reliable internet connection. GRID will provide a laptop, charger, headset when remote working is required.


It would be great if you also had...

  • Experience with basic statistical analysis and reporting
  • Experience with Excel

  • Hourly wage of $19.61 for 11 months (Mon, Sept 18, 2023 - Thurs August 15, 2024)
