This individual will drive strategic tax planning and compliance, oversee all aspects of taxation, including tax compliance, regulatory affairs, sanction risk mitigation, and estate planning. RESPONSIBILITIESReview tax planning processes and suggest improvements to current methods to optimize tax efficiencyAnalyze company operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing, or elimination from a tax perspectiveCoordinate with ownership and other senior leadership to establish tax-related priorities for the planning processMonitor long-range economic trends and project their impact on future growth in sales, market share, and tax implicationsIdentify opportunities for tax savings and expansion into new product areas considering the tax implicationsManage all aspects of taxation and structuring for the Company, including managing external advisorsEnsure an effective tax compliance and advisory service is delivered to all stakeholdersManage the Company's relationship with regulatory bodiesEvaluate and identify tax planning and structuring opportunities and requirementsOversee tax risk management, identifying potential areas of tax-related vulnerability and risk, and develop and implement corrective action plansDevelop and implement a global tax strategy that takes into account the company's expansion plans and business model changesLead the implementation of tax technology solutions to enhance tax reporting and compliance efficiencyCollaborate with corporate development teams to oversee tax due diligence, structuring, and post-acquisition integration in merger and acquisition activitiesDevelop an educational program to ensure that the broader finance and executive team understand the tax implications of their decisionsCommunicate tax strategy and implications to stakeholders, including the board of directors, senior management, and shareholdersREQUIREMENTSBachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics. (Master’s degree and/or Juris Doctorate in Taxation highly preferred)15 years of progressive experience in a senior tax role (experience in a multinational company is a plus)Government Support Initiatives: Demonstrated understanding and experience with government support, grant and tax initiatives, including the ability to identify and leverage such opportunities to support the company's strategic objectivesProven track record of success in tax planning and complianceExcellent management and supervisory skillsExtensive experience with databases and financial management softwareKnowledge of sanction risk mitigation and regulatory affairsExperience in estate planning and understanding of tax implicationsFamiliarity with international tax law, including an understanding of tax treaties, transfer pricing, and cross-border transaction implicationsExperience in managing tax issues during mergers and acquisitionsProficiency in the latest tax software and digital solutions for tax compliance and reportingFamiliarity with the specific tax considerations within the industry in which Xsolla operatesAbility to effectively negotiate with tax authorities and other external partiesProven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and handle a high-pressure environmentCommitment to continuous learning, staying updated with the latest tax laws and regulationsProficiency in more than one language is a plus, especially if the company operates in multiple countriesBENEFITS
