Position Summary:

The Director of Marketing is responsible for continuing to enhance the MRIOA brand, driving organic growth strategies in concert with the Chief Revenue Officer, generating inputs from the market and the positioning for new solutions, building out targeted advertising plans, driving online marketing, collateral material creation, trade shows coordination, event planning, marketing communications, sales enablement, and marketing research to attain sales and profitability goals.

Working closely with the commercial and solutions development teams to establish strategy and drive execution.


Roles:

  • Own, protect, and communicate the brand promise across the organization, across communication methodologies, and across the sales process externally into the marketplace.
  • To position MRIOA as a thought leader in the marketplace and as a strategic partner for our customers
  • Work cross-functionally with the commercial team and solutions development team to ensure viability and proper positioning of new and existing offerings to new and existing customers.


Primary Responsibilities or Assigned Duties:


Develop and articulate the overarching corporate marketing/branding/communications strategy that ensures MRIOA delivers on our vision and strategy to drive 30%+ growth annually.

  • Define the brand promise to create differentiation and relevance in the market tied to a technology-enabled services vision.
  • Ensure the organization lives up to that promise.
  • Promote the brand promise throughout all customer touchpoints.
  • Design marketing, promotion, product content, and public relations campaigns.
  • Owns the web strategy in concert with the CRO.
  • Lead the annual long-range strategic planning process.


Creates and implements marketing strategies/plans in support of the CRO and Commercial team:

  • Development and execution of a customer-focused marketing program for the company that drives revenue via Market Qualified leaders (MQLs). This position will be responsible for helping the sales department increase new business and cross-sell revenue.
  • This position will also be responsible for continuing to support MRIoA Sales Policy to ensure market consistency regarding third-party competitors.
  • Metrics will include: New business leads driven by MQLs, customer cross-sell leads, applicable customer experience and growth metrics including the conversion of MQL’s to revenue, marketing influenced annualized and realized revenue.
  • Develop and implement prospective client contact management initiatives, including Account-based marketing initiatives.
  • Responsible for event participation and planning, including trade shows, webinars, round tables, podcasts, LinkedIn, conferences, symposiums, speaking engagements, etc., to support corporate initiatives, identifying objects, and measuring return on investment.
  • Responsible for creative design, writing and production, delivery, fulfillment, and budget of deliverables.
  • Select and manage vendors to ensure quality/effectiveness of delivery of services as needed.
  • Integrate with sales and executive team leaders to ensure strong coordination.


Partner with Product Management to create a market-back product roadmap and create the supporting marketing material for product launch that drives targeted markets share/profit gain.

  • Assure congruence/partnership to drive corporate strategies and deliver roadmaps and go-to-market strategies at the product line level.
  • Determine clinical product gaps, market shifts, and channel opportunities with key partners for product and channel expansion.


Leads and initiates market research to understand:

  • Obtain/disseminate customer needs and competitive behavior across all markets and product lines.
  • Identify, recommend, and cultivate new market growth opportunities.
  • Monitor/Communicate portfolio mix based on product-level bookings/revenue/EBITDA.
  • Industry / Legislative trends


Develops, executes, and owns the Marketing budget


Perform other sales-focused tasks as needed to drive sales growth.


Requirements

Skills and Experience:

  • 8+ years of Marketing experience in the payor, Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM), or healthcare space, delivering B2B marketing programs with strong data-driven process skills
  • Extensive analytical skills and commercial experience
  • Experience interacting and coordinating multiple functions, especially in a matrix environment
  • Excellent verbal, phone, and written communication skills
  • Strong PC and presentation skills
  • Experience creating market, channel, strategic partnership, and persona-specific value propositions
  • Experience working in a fast-paced private equity or venture capital environment
  • Demonstrated success using Pardot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Zoom, RingLead, and Salesforce.com; social selling platforms to include LinkedIn and X, designing/updating and implementing company websites and setting up, promoting, and analyzing results from Webinars/Round Tables/Podcasts
  • Experience leading a successful customer Executive Client Council program, writing press releases, customer testimonials, case studies, email campaigns, and sales sell sheets
  • Demonstrated success in overseeing and executing on Conference attendee and exhibiting strategies
  • Experience with Graphic Design, buying digital advertising (Beckers/AHIP Smartbrief/Modern Healthcare/Healthcare BizDev, etc), and overseeing company reference programs
  • Self-starter motivated to work on closing opportunities in a collaborative style; ability to be an individual contributor in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Self-learner willing to stretch their understanding of work tools and resources
  • Proven track record of sales success


Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Marketing or Business focus preferred)
  • MBA or Master’s Degree in Marketing or Business preferred


Work Environment: 

Ability to sit at a desk, utilize a computer, telephone, and other basic office equipment is required. This role is designed to be a remote position (work-from-home).
