SEO Specialist

Position: SEO Specialist
Location: Remote (EST Time zone)

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9AM to 5PM EST

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy Development:

• Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies tailored to Gloves.coms e-commerce goals.
• Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats specific to the e-commerce sector.
• Stay updated with the latest SEO trends and algorithm changes, particularly those affecting e-commerce and Shopify.

Technical SEO:

• Identify and resolve technical SEO issues, including duplicate URLs, slow load times, and site structure optimization on the Shopify platform.
• Ensure the website is optimized for crawlability and indexation.
• Implement schema markup, robots.txt, and other technical elements to enhance search visibility.

On-Page Optimization:

• Optimize title tags, meta descriptions, and header tags for target keywords.
• Improve internal linking structure and user experience tailored to an e-commerce site.
• Conduct keyword research and implement keyword optimization strategies.

Content Management:

• Develop and optimize high-quality content that aligns with SEO best practices for e-commerce.
• Identify content gaps and opportunities for new product and category page content.
• Ensure content is engaging, informative, and supports SEO goals.

Link Building:

• Develop and execute a link-building strategy to acquire high-quality backlinks.
• Perform outreach to bloggers, influencers, and industry sites to gain backlinks.
• Monitor and disavow potentially toxic backlinks.

Reporting & Analysis:

• Monitor, analyze, and report on SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.
• Provide regular reports on key SEO metrics and progress toward goals.
• Use data to refine strategies and improve performance.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an SEO Specialist or similar role, preferably in e-commerce.
• In-depth knowledge of SEO practices, tools, and techniques specific to Shopify.
• Experience with technical SEO, on-page optimization, content strategy, and link building.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience ranking for competitive e-commerce keywords.
• Knowledge of the gloves or related industry is a plus.
• Ability to create and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy from the ground up.
• Proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, etc.
