The New Brunswick DuBois Sales Representative will work as part of the DuBois sales and growth team to maintain and increase business where applicable while improving DuBois chemical treatment programs to our diverse client base. Our Sales Representatives are dedicated and passionately focused on providing value added specialty cleaning and process solutions that meet or exceed the expectations of our customers.

The ideal Sales Representative is a self-starter and enjoys working in an entrepreneurial environment focused on solving/resolving customer problems. Ideal candidate will be English-French bilingual. In this position, the Sales Representative will build new and maintain existing customer relationships, either individually or in conjunction with our Technical Service Team, at various levels within our client’s organization from maintenance personnel to upper management. The Sales Representative has personal motivation and strives to grow their territory year over year.  They will communicate customer needs and requirements to all functional areas of the company to ensure that efforts are coordinated resulting in rapid organic sales growth.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create new business growth through prospecting in the New Brunswick region, a market with market-share upside.
  • Manage key accounts of mid-sized and large accounts with an opportunity for increased organic growth within existing customers. 
  • Problem-solving, value-added selling process with a focus on winning and retaining customers and repeat consumable business.
  • Strong customer emphasis on reducing total cost, improving production quality, and achieving health, safety, and environmental goals and objectives within the customer base.
  • Ability to manage existing client base operations from ensuring product application, selection, delivery, problem solving, accounts receivables, etc.
  • New Sales Professionals receive thorough training and mentoring to support success. 
  • Outstanding field and Research and Development (R&D) technical team to support selling opportunities and account management. 
  • Travel to current and prospective customers to develop relationships and grow sales. 
  • Supporting and servicing existing business and customers in your territory. This includes:
  • Developing and adhering to an efficient service schedule to match customer service profile. Completing the entire service schedule each month.
  • Regularly scheduled audit includes testing water or fluid samples using a portable lab and analyzing results at client sites, recording inventory and initiating reorders where necessary either directly or through customers’ order process.
  • Daily data entry in an analytics platform and the ability to communicate anomalies clearly throughout the organization.
  • On-site troubleshooting resulting from non-conformances in water sample results and ability to repair/replace any defective equipment.
  • Identifying and implementing solutions to help our clients’ water or chemical system operate at the lowest possible life cycle cost and proactively maintain them there.
  • Design, install, maintain and repair dosing equipment, controls and water conditioning systems to ensure DuBois programs operate properly.
  • Manage urgent and non-urgent customer requests for support relating to the operation of DuBois programs at their facilities.
  • Responsible for preparing and presenting annual business reviews to customers that entail both technical and financial elements (where required).
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodations. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of sales experience is preferred within the specialty chemical industry.
  • Self-driven, with a track record of time management skills.
  • Proven effectiveness in prospecting, closing new projects, and delivering effective presentations. 
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage long-term customer relationships.
  • High achievement orientation; driven to perform and grow a sales territory. 
  • Professionally developed sales and territory management skills.
  • Strong consultation, negotiation, problem-resolution, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experienced in sales budgeting and sales funnel management using web-based Microsoft CRM
  • Comfortable using online tools for account management (orders, tracking, pricing, invoicing, etc.)
  • High achievement orientation; driven to perform and grow a sales territory. 
  • Professionally developed sales and territory management skills.
  • Strong consultation, negotiation, problem-resolution, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and understand new product lines and utilize knowledge to fulfill customer needs. 
  • Ability to travel up to 25% including overnight travel from time to time.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to perform technical/mechanical on-site testing as required.
  • Ideal candidate will be English-French bilingual.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Business field preferred.
