Job Description

The Market Access Manager (post-launch) proposes and implements market access strategies and tactics for all Sobi products that are already launched and marketed in the DACH region in light of the current applicable regulations and the expectations of the health authorities, customers and patients.  

The candidate assesses individual pricing and reimbursement hurdles and opportunities for respective Sobi products while considering market and competitor landscape within the therapeutic area, develops payer (sick funds, hospital pharmacies, procurements) pricing and reimbursement strategies in line with Sobi’s national and regional plans to protect and accelerate Sobi’s business.

The candidate is closely working with the Global Patient Access team, local and global medical, commercial and regulatory teams to prepare and implement strategies and to develop and deliver pricing and reimbursement solutions.

This is a hybrid role - candidates can be located anywhere in Germany but should be able to come into the office in Martinsried on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities/Scope of the Job

  • Work closely with the local cross-functional product teams as well as with the National Sales Managers to identify pricing and positioning opportunities as well as threats for the Haemophilia franchise, Hematology and Immunology products.
  • Strong collaboration with finance, sales and patient access to manage existing and develop new pricing and reimbursement offers and the impact from an economical perspective
  • Monitor competitive environment and develop appropriate pricing and contracting strategies for marketed Sobi products to support commercial business goals
  • Execute and negotiate pricing and contracting strategies with relevant stakeholders as sick funds or physician associations where needed
  • Produce and analyze contract/payer specific reports
  • Develop consultative relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders and leverage Sobi as the preferred partner for innovative contracting models
  • Identify national and regional authorities and stakeholders with responsibility for the pricing and reimbursement of existing and new products and engage appropriately with such bodies together with the Director Patient Access & Engagement DACH to understand requirements and support for optimal pricing and reimbursement
  • Proactively track key legislative changes and sick fund related changes with potential impact on Sobi’s business
  • Develop and drive local real-world evidence and HEOR strategy as well as respective publication plan to demonstrate reliable insights of health care reality and benefits of modern therapy approaches
  • Liase with Marketing and Patient Access to drive materials, fact sheets, cost calculators and other selling tools
  • Support the Market Access pre-launch team with the preparation of AMNOG processes with regards to product positioning, value proposition, pricing and reimbursement strategies
  • Support AMNOG negotiations with GKV-SV in close collaboration with the pre-launch Market Access team, if needed

Qualifications

Education/Learning Experience/Work Experience

Required: 

  • University degree in science, politics, (health) economics or healthcare management
  • At least 2-4 years of professional experience in a healthcare or healthcare related business environment, ideally in an international company
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a cross functional environment
  • Strong project and process management skills, with the ability to work under tight time constraints and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Desired:

  • Experience and a strong negotiation track record with payers
  • Demonstrated ability to build sustainable relationships with sick funds, hospital management, procurements and other regional bodies
