The Emerging Portfolio MD will be responsible for the financial health and success of the Emerging  portfolio holistically and of the pods within it, focused on high growth, dynamic clients that are looking to generate customer and revenue growth for their business.  Clients within this portfolio typically generate between $20M and $500M in revenue and many are private and venture capital-backed navigating their path towards an “exit.”. This person must be a skilled communicator and effective leader, spur company  growth, and ensure delivery excellence across the Emerging portfolio. This individual will be instrumental  in broadening and deepening relationships with senior client decision makers and influencers. They will  own the P&L of the Emerging portfolio, and will be accountable for meeting revenue, net retention,  utilization, client delivery efficiency (sold-in vs. actual resource consumption), and gross margin targets.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Foster relationships and culture: 
    • Forge strong senior-level, C-Suite,  client relationships with key decision makers by establishing yourself as a trusted advisor 
    • Create a positive spirit and culture for your team and your clients 
    • Empower teams to enhance client satisfaction, loyalty, retention and growth 
    • Drive client centricity and client-focused culture 
  • Drive financial health and manage internal team: 
    • Own the P&L for the Emerging portfolio 
    • Maintain financial forecasting for the pods within the Emerging portfolio, meeting revenue and profitability targets 
    • Report financial results and forecasting to Tinuiti executive team 
    • Drive pod teams to identify new opportunities for profitable revenue growth among Emerging accounts 
    • Own final decision making on account and resource allocation within the Emerging portfolio 
    • Identify and prioritize accounts with significant growth potential 
  • Act as a thought leader and innovator: 
    • Stay up to date on industry trends, evaluate client data and research and provide forward thinking ideas to influence client decision making and grow the business 
    • Ensure a deep understanding of media and marketing performance in advising clients on strategic approach to achieve their goals 
    • Speak to quantitative approaches to marketing measurement, including the advantages and disadvantages of MMMs, MTAs and other methodologies, and how their outputs translate into marketing strategies.
  • Develop talent: 
    • Coach and mentor Pod Leaders, overseeing their performance and career development 
    • Partner with Innovation/Activation to ensure the pod teams within the Emerging portfolio are appropriately trained on relevant aspects of solution

Requirements:

  • 15+ years’ experience as a leader in a digital media agency environment 
  • Proven track record of managing a P&L for profitable growth 
  • Ability to build relationships with senior client decision makers  
  • Knowledge of media channels, including social, search, streaming/linear and commerce,  performance and KPIs 
  • Experience working with technology (product & engineering) on releasing new client-facing products and improving efficiency for the client-facing team through automation
  • Executive-level communication and interpersonal skills, comfort interacting with and presenting  to executive teams 
  • Experience managing large teams, coaching direct reports, and driving talent development across  an organization 
  • Trusted advisor: You partner closely with internal and external executives and across the  marketplace to build relationships, provide strategic advice and are known as a leader throughout  the client organization 
  • Inclusive collaborator: you are an active listener, advocate, influential communicator, and partner.  You understand others’ goals, objectives and challenges and work to successfully navigate them.  You lean in and offer support to your team to ensure everyone meets their goals.  
  • Strategic innovator: you counteract groupthink yet are skilled at gaining executive buy-in on  strategic decisions. You analyze the effectiveness of the status quo and actively collaborate to  improve it. 
  • Inspiring leader: you drive the vision and strategy for your team and cross-functionally, break  down barriers, and leverage deep domain expertise to coach your team in the right direction. 
  • Quantitative thought partner: You are familiar with different measurement methodologies (e.g., MMMs, MTAs, geo lift test) and are able to translate their outputs into marketing strategies.

The hiring salary range for this role is $250,000 - $300,000 plus a discretionary performance bonus of up to 30% of base salary. 

Hiring salaries are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, parity with other team members, and alignment with market data. We will provide more information on our benefits, incentive pay,  and equity upon request. Disclosure as required by the Colorado Equal Pay for > Equal Work Act, C.R.S. § 8-5-101 et seq.
