Position Summary - Work you'll do

This position is responsible for configuration, maintenance, and support of our Business Application Portfolio. As an Enterprise Applications Administrator, you will also be in on the ground floor of managing, designing, developing, and implementing solutions to address complex business issues. Within our application portfolio, you will support, and implement solutions for on prem SharePoint 2016, PeopleSoft 9.2 Financials, and cloud OneStream.

 

A Typical Day:

  • Monitor and resolve application integration error
  • Coordinate end user testing of application patches, enhancements, upgrade or new release
  • Prepare Change Management Documentation and Provide testing results for review and approval to deploy to Production Business Applications
  • Troubleshoot a recurring issue identified in our SharePoint Farm
  • Review most current Image and Patch updates for SharePoint, download and test as needed
  • Follow up with AP Team on whether the new query in PeopleSoft you delivered meets their needs
  • Facilitate a requirement grooming session with Fixed Assets for Quarterly, Yearly Asset Counts
  • Troubleshoot remote access issue reported by our Third Party Vendor support team and coordinate with appropriate IT Teams for resolution
  • Attend a review session of the tasks and timing of tasks for this month’s IT Maintenance Weekend
  • Draft a knowledge base document for end user and IT Staff consumption
Responsibilities:
  • Provides Tier III support of third-party and UTI custom applications and integrations.
  • Knowledge of Server Administration and how it interacts with third-party applications.
  • Performs recovery processes to restore system to full functionality, if necessary.
  • Implements application patches, enhancements, upgrades and releases.
  • Authors scripts and SQL queries to automate low to medium complexity repetitive functions.
  • Analyzes current design and recommend changes that will improve business processes.
  • Performs application set-up, design, user maintenance, and system maintenance.
  • Works with vendors to resolve application issues.
  • Provides exceptional customer service.
  • Documents processes, procedures, best practices, as well as development of training materials of the processes to support a ‘train-the-trainer’ philosophy.
  • Primary liaison with product technical and customer support teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education / Experience

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT field or equivalent work experience
  • 0-2 years of experience supporting enterprise level financial and business applications and integrations such as PeopleSoft, SharePoint, Document Imaging Systems, custom applications, or any Web based application. Working Knowledge of Microsoft SQL with respect to application support.
  • Report Development experience a plus
  • 3 or more years of experience in IT field
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of 1-3 of UTI’s enterprise applications e.g. PeopleSoft, SharePoint, ImageNow, OneStream.
  • Experience with PowerBI, Powershell, or migration to SharePoint Online a plus

Abilities

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 5 pounds or less 5% of the workday

  • Must be able to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, learn and reason for all of the workday
  • Must be able to sit and walk or otherwise move around for prolonged periods throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to use a keyboard and do manual tasks for prolonged periods throughout the workday.
  • May require occasional overnight travel.
  • Must be able and willing to work off hours when required to support 24/7 critical business applications
