The Portal Developer implements, manages and continuously improves digital workplace technology and integrations with adjacent technologies (e.g. ServiceNow, SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform, Conversational AI products).
This position is also responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform. This includes creating custom applications, automating business processes, integrating data from various sources and ensuring the maintenance of our ecosystems uses collaboration methods that are cutting-edge and are delivered securely, with reliability and resiliency in a method that is as intuitive to the customer as possible.
This position will also collaborate with technology vendors, product managers, IT security and legal or compliance teams to ensure alignment to company policy and applicable legislation. This role will work with business stakeholders and requires strong analysis skills.
This role will also be responsible understanding all aspects of Microsoft 365 Teams, Sharepoint & Power Platform including administration, design, support, and training.
Main Responsibilities
- Designing and developing custom SharePoint portals and applications using SharePoint Framework, SharePoint Designer, and other tools
- Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Integrating data from various sources, including SQL Server, Excel, and other enterprise systems
- Creating and maintaining custom web parts, workflows, and forms to automate business processes.
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting for SharePoint portals and applications
- Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in SharePoint and related technologies
- Mentoring and coaching junior developers
- Designing and developing custom applications using PowerApps, Power Automate, and other components of the Microsoft Power Platform
- Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Integrating data from various sources, including SharePoint, SQL Server, and other enterprise systems
- Automating business processes using Power Automate and other workflow tools
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including design specifications, user guides, and release notes
- Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the Power Platform and related technologies
- Mentoring and coaching junior developers
- Development of KPI dashboards which provide insights into environment.
- Validating application functionality
- Perform workloads using Agile methodology.
- Implement, monitor and operate digital workplace technologies (endpoint hardware, software, services and SaaS tools).
- Integrate digital workplace technologies with adjacent technologies (identity, security, vulnerability management, IT service and asset management, remote access, backup, directory services, etc).
- Ensure stability and security of digital workplace technology through effective endpoint management and timely patching.
- Establish computing configuration and operating standards in coordination with IT colleagues.
- Execute digital workplace technology projects.
- Actively participate in resolving high-priority outages, troubleshooting efforts, and capacity/availability planning sessions.
- Support security operations processes by monitoring and reporting anomalies related to devices and identities.
- Monitor technology trends and seek ways to enhance continuous improvement initiatives. Assess criticality of services and applications and automate testing of those deemed critical before patching and upgrades.
- Additional responsibilities in the Collaboration space is also included.
What you bring to the table… (Must Have)
- Proficiency with SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform and other Microsoft 365 products as well as PowerShell.
- Strong computer skills including mastery of SharePoint & Power Platform a must.
- Hands-on experience in Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform development using tools like SharePoint Designer, Power Apps, Power Automate
- Knowledge of SharePoint integration with other Microsoft 365 applications (such as Teams, Power Platform, Sharepoint) and third-party systems.
- Understanding of Teams, SharePoint & Power Platform governance, compliance, and information architecture principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot related issues.
- Minimum of 5 years supporting Microsoft 365 SharePoint & Power Platform environments.
- Strong Powershell scripting experience a must.
- Minimum of 5 years’ engineering experience working/hands on custom Sharepoint & Power Platform development and Environmental maintenance.
- Experience with configuration management, identity and access management, active directory, collaboration platforms and other cloud-based services
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory Azure, and Microsoft Identities.
- Exceptional understanding of Microsoft 365.
- Exceptional understand of administration of Sharepoint, Teams and Power Platform within O365.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

- Experience with continuous engineering or other agile methods to keep pace with frequent changes and to reduce complexity.
- Working knowledge of using automation to drive continuous improvement.

Compensation and Benefits:
The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$85,900-$140,800
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
