POSITION SUMMARY: The primary function of this role is to accelerate the growth for sales within North America as part of the sales POD/ team structure. Responsibilities include, technical leading and supporting new business and technology opportunities for the organization with specific focus on the North American region. The role will encompass program management, client relations, sales support of engineering, and supply chain solutions delivery. The role is also responsible for the indirect management of team members as well as supporting individual team member development. The Director, Technical Executive will execute appropriate sales strategies, and technical and sales support programs to maximize sales and profitability.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

· Close cooperation, collaboration and teaming with Account Executive team on leads and opportunities

· Leading technical sales / sales engineering activities for North America by defining and scoping solutions for new projects

· Understanding and articulating Fortna’s solution value messaging and presenting relevant and compelling business case examples to potential clients

· Leading and educating Client teams on Fortna’s approaches and methodologies

· Developing and creating strong relationships with prospective clients

· Coordinating all required disciplines (engineering, procurement, estimating, delivery, finance, etc.) to execute technical sales solutions to meet the clients’ expectations in the contracting phases

· In team with Account Executives, leading the development of quotations and proposals; identifying opportunities for growth within programs, and new potential projects

· Making required adjustments and recommending changes to maintain targeted margins

· Ensuring adherence to master plans and schedules, developing solutions, and preparing projects that can be completed on time and within budget

· Serving as Fortna’s primary point of contact and accountability with regard to the delivery and quality of Fortna delivery services

· Leading Quality Assurance (QA) discussions with Clients and any necessary resulting actions

· Understanding the competitive landscape and market trends

· Providing regular updates to Fortna’s leadership team as necessary

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree or related international degree designation in engineering, logistics, operations or business field

· Comparable skills proven by operational and project experience can and will be equated

· Demonstrated strong leadership, consulting, strategic thinking, collaboration, project management, problem-solving, change management and influencing skills

· Ability to translate highly ambiguous business issues into structured problems, and to develop well-founded solutions in a structured yet creative way

· Superior communication skills and can present ideas in a clear, concise manner and can adapt communication style as needed

· Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills

· Ability to demonstrate professionalism and adherence to Fortna Principles at all times

· Ability to manage multiple clients & projects and work to tight deadlines

· Proven success working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

· Keen business sense, with the ability to find creative business-oriented solutions to problems

· Ability to travel extensively both domestically and internationally as required

· Ability to perform essential functions of the job

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor or Master’s degree or similar professional skills and know how

· 7+ years of leadership, sales, or technical experience

· Ideally certifications in Project Management and/or Consulting

· Experience with the design and/or implementation of high-volume material handling systems

WORKING CONDITONS: When duties are performed in a typical office environment, extended periods of sitting at a desk and viewing a computer screen will be required. Also required is the ability to talk and hear, in person and by telephone; use of hands to handle, feel, or operate standard office equipment; and ability to reach with hands and arms. Associates are frequently required to walk and stand. The noise level in this work environment is usually quiet. When travelling to Client sites, essential requirements of this position may require physical presence in various environments and locations. Physical stamina may be required for prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and/or working in cramped quarters. Exposure to potentially dangerous tools and equipment amidst a variety of building materials is probable, as is occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can vary from being relatively quiet, to moderate, to excessive. Safety shoes or boots may be required in certain situations. Additional safety clothing including gloves, hardhats, and devices to protect eyes, mouth, or hearing, will be worn as necessary.
