POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for conducting branch internal audits to determine controls are adequate and effectively maintained in accordance with bank policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Reviews assigned activities in order to determine whether branches are performing activities in compliance with SOX, policies, and procedures.
Contributes to satisfactory or better audits for Retail Banking and branches by ensuring remediation plans are adhered to.
Assists with reviewing and approving online new accounts for new and existing customers.
Maximizes income and minimizes expense through ongoing improvements of branch procedures and practices.
Recommends corrective action and suggests improvement to maximize efficiency.
Professional oral and written communication skills and follow-up when corresponding with employees.
Ability to multitask and prioritize job responsibilities as required while maintaining organization.
Assists with Retail Support by participating in the call and email queue
Maintains knowledge of Company and industry projects, services and trends affecting team activities including technology advances and compliance/regulatory trends.

Supports management decisions and goals in a positive, professional manner and always represents the bank with a high level of integrity.
Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent and at least three years banking experience and/or experience within a financial institution, auditing experience preferably in the area of branch operations.
Ability to demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations that pertain to this position and must be able to keep up to date on regulation changes.
Knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering policies, procedures and related programs.
Must be bondable.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office Products and other Database software.
