Your missions

The Financial Planning & Analyst oversees all corporate projections. They work closely with senior management to provide analysis and insights regarding performance of the overall business and the data & digital platforms.  A strong applicant has a very strong analytical & financial background, tactical & operational awareness, and excellent interpersonal skills. We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Financial Planning & Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in driving financial strategy, supporting decision-making processes, and ensuring the financial health of the organization. This role involves working closely with senior management, providing insights and analysis to guide strategic initiatives and operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Identify & communicate issues and trends in the business ; propose and help carry out solutions to address.
  • Team with executive leadership to develop the company's medium to long-term financial and strategic plan.
  • Evaluate and recommend modifications to projections and budgets.
  • Oversee and manage financial planning and analysis, such as planning, spending, predicting, report generation, and other tasks as assigned. 
  • Forecast income and expenses.
  • Model growth and determine the business elements that influence it.
  • Provide comprehensive review and commentary on cost center findings.
  • Budgeting, Planning, and Forecasting
    • Provide accurate and timely financial and management reports to stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators.
    • Key resource in managing the development and delivery of the Company’s annual plan as well as periodic forecast updates to help management make timely decisions about the direction of the Company.
  • Internal Reporting and Analysis
    • Develop and maintain financial models to project revenue, costs, and profitability.
    • Develop and deliver internal financial and business reports.
    • Ad-Hoc analysis
  • Drive process improvement by developing and executing practices that allow for efficient, transparent, and timely analytical reviews of company financial and operational performance.
  • Lead market and operational analyses and communicate new trends and opportunities to inform business decisions and strategy.
  • Deliver clear and concise recommendations to senior management driven by industry research, business modeling and financial analysis.
  • Work with other accounting/finance/IT/operational team members to grow and enhance financial data platforms that are used to deliver concise financial information to management.
  • Work with sales & operations to deliver valuable performance measurements to help effective and performance driven decision making
  • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making on pricing, investments, cost reduction initiatives, and other business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect relevant data and insights for financial analysis.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the business to support strategic planning initiatives.
  • Preparation of presentations and reports for executive leadership, board meetings and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree and at least 8+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field are required.
  • A strong analytical toolkit that makes use of business intelligence and reporting software
  • Capability to multitask and adapt to a constantly changing, quick environment.  PE experience a strong plus
  • Outstanding communication skills and relationship-building abilities
  • Capability to lead projects throughout an organization
  • Advanced computer program skills, such as the ability to write macros in Excel and other financial packages  

 Additional Experience

  • Experience with software technology/SaaS companies preferred
  • Experience with subscription models and ARR calculations.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in using financial software such FP&A tools and ERP systems such as Great Plains.

The following compensation information is a good faith estimate and is provided in accordance with applicable state laws. The base salary generally ranges between $140,000/year - $150,000/year. This range is an estimate based on an applicant’s skills, experience, and training.
