What’s the role?

Etsy is seeking a level one Helpdesk Technician to join our Helpdesk team and help support the tools and infrastructure that directly impact the productivity of our enterprise organization.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Manager of IT. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy. 

For this role, we are considering candidates based in the United States. Candidates living within commutable distance of Etsy’s Brooklyn Office Hub or in the San Francisco Bay Area may be the first to be considered. For candidates within commutable distance, Etsy requires in-office attendance once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office.   • The Helpdesk team provides frontline IT support for the business of Etsy, including onboarding, offboarding, fulfillment/break/fix for hardware and software, end user training, inventory/shipping/receiving, user access requests, and others.

  • This team works on tools that are used across all of Etsy Admin.

What does the day-to-day look like?

  • You will share responsibility for the operations and support for a variety of business applications including Okta, Atlassian products, G Suite, JAMF, and Slack.

  • You will share responsibility for infrastructure automation for IT using Chef and other tools.

  • You will help grow the team with collaboration, processes and workflows.

  • You will pair up with other engineers on medium- to large-size projects end to end.

  • You will identify opportunities for reducing toil and avoiding technical debt to reduce support and operations load on the team.

  • You will work in an agile environment, participating in sprint planning, delivering work and contributing to a retrospective.
