Your missions

General Assignment

  • Responsible for complete satisfaction of all customers in assigned territories. Also responsible for achieving established company goals while acting in accordance with established policies.
  • Representing industry leading brands incl. Coperion, Baker Perkins, Kemutec, Diosna, VMI, Shick Esteve, Peerless and Shaffer
  • Key Industries: Food, Pharmaceutical, Nutraceutical
  • Region: Indian Sub-Continent (India, Bangladesh, Sri-Lanka, Nepal).
  • Selected product offering: Weighing and feeding, pneumatic conveying, refill systems, extruding, depositing, mixing, forming, sifting, baking & toasting, cooling, cooking, filtration, thermal processing, coating and finishing.
  • Business division FHN – Global process solutions delivering end-to-end solutions across all spectrums including engineered technologies, expert services and support.

Main Tasks

  • Achieving Individual Sales Targets: As a Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for meeting your own sales goals. This includes identifying potential clients, nurturing leads, and closing deals independently.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences. Adapt your sales strategies accordingly to maximize revenue.
  • Customer Acquisition and Retention: Develop and maintain relationships with clients. Focus on acquiring new customers while ensuring satisfaction and loyalty among existing ones.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Create a personalized sales plan based on market segmentation, product offerings, and customer demographics. Tailor your approach to individual prospects.
  • Product Knowledge and Presentation: Deeply understand the products or services you’re selling. Articulate their features, benefits, and value propositions effectively during client interactions.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain a well-organized sales pipeline. Track leads, follow up consistently, and prioritize opportunities based on their potential.
  • Negotiation and Closing Skills: Master the art of negotiation. Handle objections, address concerns, and close deals with confidence.
  • Forecasting and Reporting: Regularly analyze sales data, track performance metrics, and provide accurate forecasts. Use this information to adjust your strategies as needed.
  • Networking and Relationship Building: Attend industry events, conferences, and networking sessions. Build a strong professional network to expand your reach and generate leads.
  • Self-Development and Learning: Continuously enhance your sales skills through workshops, webinars, and self-study. Stay updated on sales methodologies and best practices.
  • Cross-selling: Actively develop cross-selling opportunities to maximize the penetration of customers and build long term service and consumables business up front to maximise the value of each key client.
  • Channel management: Manage ana motivate agents to attain established goals, manage their performance and conduct product training for them
  • Support accounting: Assist in collection of past due accounts
  • Travel as needed, approximately 50%
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Education and professional expertise :

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in sales and applications sales for engineering of a highly technical product related to machineries used in Food, Pharmaceutical, and Nutraceutical Industries.
  • Base Education: Bachelor of Engineering or Business administration
    (Mechanical Engineering, Food Process Engineering) / MBA
  • Technical-commercial education with further training in sales and marketing
  • Experience in an international company with a global focus
  • Knowledge of production processes employed within the Food, Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical Industries is advantageous.
  • Ability to motivate people to achieve goals and acknowledge performance.
  • Results-focused personality with vision, energy and flair
  • Experience in the industry of direct bulk material handling is highly desired
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to efficiently work in English and Hindi.
  • Knowledge of selling process; marketing techniques, process control, weighing, bulk materials handing in Food, Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical Industries.
