The Role

As a Sr. Finance Systems Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain third-party software and integrations within our finance applications. You will be responsible for customizing platforms and delivering solutions for stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, and GTM teams. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of finance business processes, accounting knowledge, and strong project management skills. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of delivering results amidst ambiguity, while effectively anticipating and adapting to changes in a dynamic environment.

Your Daily Adventures Will Include
  • Optimize system configurations to align with business objectives and industry best practices, leveraging our existing tech stack (Zuora, NetSuite, Coupa, Concur, etc.)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on finance system projects to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and efficiency
  • Identify areas of underutilization or potential risk, working with the stakeholders to develop a project roadmap for platform optimization and process improvement for better efficiency and scalability
  • Develop custom scripts and workflows to increase automation and streamline processes, as well as troubleshoot existing scripts, workflows, and integrations within the platforms
  • Support new system implementations and serve as the subject matter expert on technology decisions relating to impacted business processes.
  • Ensure comprehensive and timely communication of project status to all relevant stakeholders
  • Conduct thorough review and testing of vendor-managed releases, and implement application changes, ensuring compliance with IT General Controls (ITGCs)
  • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure that information is readily available, and provide training to users on effectively utilizing our financial systems

  • 6-8 years of experience in administering, configuring, and customizing third-party financial systems across QTC, ERP, P2P, and T&E processes
  • Strong technical skills and expertise in software development, scripting languages, database management, and system administration
  • System certifications are a plus (e.g., NetSuite SuiteCloud Developer Certification, Zuora Certified Developer, Coupa Platform Certification)
  • Accounting experience is strongly preferred
  • Highly curious with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of making thoughtful and practical decisions
  • Team-oriented, customer-centric, and collaborative attitude, with the ability to foster cooperation among upper management, business stakeholders, and third-party solution providers
  • Outstanding and proactive communication skills – written, verbal, and in presentations
  • Flexible and positive thinker, able to navigate and succeed in a complex and fast-moving environment
  • The annual base salary range for this role is $130,000-$155,000 USD. You may also be offered incentive compensation, bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the your skills, qualifications, and experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
