This position would be to support business units and customers as a network security engineer. This requires operational experience with Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls including adding ACL’s, NAT’s, and routing. The main focus for this position will be working cases that come into the network security queues for either troubleshooting connectivity issues or adding firewall rules to allow access for our applications.
This position can be worked remotely anywhere in the U.S. Working hours will be M-F 8-5 CST with occasional after hours work.

What you’ll be responsible for:
- Performs systems monitoring, log reviews and analysis to identify when system has moved out of compliance. Uses tools to determine appropriate actions to take.
- Responds to alerts and security related issues.
- Performs incident response; identifies unauthorized access to systems; may inventory computers for unauthorized programs and policy violations.
- Installs and configures network security components.
- Provides moderately complex troubleshooting and customer support regarding security related issues.
- Provides support for security-related projects as assigned.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need to have:
- Minimum of 18 months to three years of firewall/IPS operations experience
What would be nice for you to have:
- Operational experience with Palo Alto and Cisco firewalls
- Operational experience with Splunk and Firemon tools
- Bachelors Degree
