This is an exciting time to join Ohmium as we scale internationally. Our Technical Field Advisor role will be based in the San Benito/Santa Clara/Monterrey County region of California. You are a Technical Field Advisor to Ohmium’s customer base as you support the installation, commissioning, and operation of their electrolyzers. Your technical acumen and superior customer service skills allow you to think on your feet, troubleshoot and communicate effectively with our customers. Job Overview**

As a Technical Field Advisor at Ohmium, you will care for a fleet of deployed electrolyzers. Using a wide array of documentation, work instructions and procedures, you will be specifically tasked with all installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance activities to execute work in the field. Duties & Responsibilities**

  • Execute maintenance activities in accordance with available documentation and standards.
  • Support the development of documentation and standards.
  • Complete diagnostics of electrolyzers and associated equipment.
  • Drive constant process and documentation improvements to eliminate waste and increase reliability.
  • Manage complex workflows, including the efforts of subcontractors.
  • Act as an advocate for the electrolyzer fleet to our technical support.
  • Recommend and drive solutions to resolve situations that arise.
  • Manage service vehicle, spare part, and tool kit inventories.
  • Exceed customer facility standards and policies.
  • Interface with customers and support their needs.
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports.
  • Support an on-call watch bill (standby status).
  • Travel, in support of other Regional needs.
  • Nurture new teammates.
  • Keep a keen eye on continuous improvement, quality and a positive customer experience.
  • Work safely (outdoors) in accordance with company, governmental, and local jurisdiction standards.
  • Operate a service vehicle safely and maintain a driving record in good standing.

Location, Travel & Work Environment

  • Ability to establish and work from a remote location, within two hours driving of client’s facility in San Benito County area of California - South San Jose is the ideal location.
  • Ability to travel 50-75% domestically and internationally to support global product locations.

Required Qualifications, Education & Experience

  • 6+ years’ experience working on complex, deployed systems with operational management responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to perform hands-on troubleshooting while working in the field and on customer sites.
  • Strong English – both written and oral – communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 50% mostly domestic, but also possible international travel as well.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, science, technology, engineering, or mathematics or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Excellent Microsoft 365 skills.
  • Proven ability to find the root cause of issues, create documentation, and follow-up on outstanding items.
  • Pay Transparency – our range for this role is base salary ($90k to 110k) plus overtime in accordance with California State labor law. Benefits start your first day of employment.
