Mission

The mission of the Finance team is to provide visibility into financial performance and forecasts to help the leadership team make informed decisions based on data. Your mission as the FP&A Manager is to tell the story of the company through the lens of financial analysis and information and provide support to make and implement operational, financial, and strategic decisions. The position is fundamental to business success as it allows management to make the best use of capital, effectively manage cash flow, and plan financially to ensure the organization's strategic goals can be met.

Outcomes

  • Own a scalable and company-wide financial planning operating process
    • Be the company’s expert in Adaptive Workday with the ability to create, manage, and administrate all of the software's features including but not limited to: sheets/models, reports, dashboards, integrations, and analytics.
    • Provide and own the framework for the company’s monthly rolling forecast for the current year and projection for 3-4 years forward while recommending opportunities to grow organically and inorganically.
    • Lead the company's annual budgeting process modeling business unit and departmental budgets utilizing operational and financial data
    • Use Workday Adaptive Planning, SalesForce, NetSuite (as required), and Tableau (as required) to perform quantitative analysis of operational and financial data and to identify opportunities for performance improvement across the organization

  • Support business unit and department leaders with financial insights that result in better decision-making. Areas of focus include but are not limited to:
    • Supporting a world-class New Product Introduction process with financial analysis to get products on the roadmap, ROI analysis, as well as post-mortem analysis
    • Supporting departments and business units with product/customer/market-segment profitability analysis to help drive financial metrics such as revenue, gross margin, and net income
    • Assisting Commercial departments with CAC analysis, conversion analysis, competitive analysis, and market trends

    • Overseeing monthly Budget vs Actual reviews between the Finance team’s business partners and other departments
    • Supporting the Director of Finance & CFO with monthly and quarterly Board and investor packages with meaningful analyses of historical performance, KPIs, forward-looking indicators, and SaaS metrics to give insights into performance and help guide future financial decisions
    • Support the business during Debt/Equity Financing, Due Diligence, and other significant company events

    Role-Specific Competencies

    • Ownership - Own everything in your domain and take responsibility to get results without excuses or blame. You earn trust by being reliable.
    • Analytical - Structure and process qualitative and quantitative data and draw insightful conclusions from it. You exhibit a probing mind and achieve penetrating insights.
    • Attention to detail: Don’t let important details slip through the cracks or derail a project.
    • Creativity/innovation: Generate new and innovative approaches to problems. Continuous focus on process improvement.
    • High standards: Expect personal performance and team performance to be nothing short of the best and follows through on internal and external commitments.

    • Problem Solving: Able to figure out solutions that others may have missed. You are able to work autonomously and as a team player when it comes to tackling issues that seem impossible. You never settle for “good enough”, rather, you operate with a “how can I/we be better?” mentality.
