Cloud Native Services Engineer

NexGen Data Systems is seeking an experienced Cloud Native Services (CNS) Engineer with CI/CD pipeline experience and a history of supporting application development, data warehouse migration, Government users, and systems in a professional environment. The ideal candidate will be experienced in the development of customer requires in an IaC pipeline including GITLAB using Terraform Coding, Jenkins for implementation, Juniper configuration, F5 configuration, and a strong background in AWS FedRamp Approved Services. Prefer experience with AWS Redshift, Apache NiFi, Apache Tomcat, Ansible, Puppet, version control software, and have the ability to frame ideas as systems and analyze the inputs, outputs, and processes.

 Roles and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for the configuration and management of secured cloud computing architecture such as (Junipers, and F5), along with core infrastructure applications such as (Apache, BIND, Sendmail, SSH, Samba, PKI, Red Hat IDM, Red Hat Satellite, git, etc)

· Manage AWS Redshift, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, Lamda, ECS and other datastore cloud surrounding technologies.

· Responsible for IT management and monitoring tools using best practices (Puppet, Github, Ansible etc)

· Use a range of automation and configuration management tools, including but not limited to: Ansible, SCCM, Jenkins, Puppet, Git, GitLab, and others.

Requirements: 

· BS in Engineering, Physics, Network Security, Computer Science, Information Systems or at least Ten (10) years of hands-on experience with Marine Corps/Navy/DoD systems validation experience with C4ISR systems to include, three (3) of the following five (5) areas; Systems Requirements, Operational Requirements, Data Analysis, Test & Evaluation, and Training.

· 10+ years of experience working in a professional IT environment with 5+ years of AWS experience (AWS experience is essential)

· Solid knowledge of cloud Security skills, specifically on common controls for API security (SSO, OAuth, Threat Protection)

· Experience with disaster recovery tools/products & design

· Experience with version control software (svn,git)

· Outstanding organizational and time management skills

· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

· Reliable with exceptional work ethic

· Detail-oriented with a self-motivated attitude

· Collaborative, team focus to support cohesive work team

· Ability to handle competing priorities with high expectations in a team-oriented environment
