About Our Opportunity:

This position will be filled as an Assistant Director or as a Senior Assistant Director. The hiring manager will determine the job level based on the skills, experience and qualifications of the selected candidate.

This is a 10-month, academic year position with working months while class is in session.

About Our Opportunity:
This individual will assist the Office of Admissions with the development and implementation of strategy and initiatives related to the recruitment of our west coast region. Primary responsibilities may include serving as the Territory Manager for the state of California, admission recruitment, outreach and application review with the potential for added responsibility with program coordination, strategic initiatives, and other special projects. A large portion of the work will consist of reviewing applications for admission with the possibility of serving as a lead reviewer, discerning important information from the application file, putting the information into context, and swiftly and confidently making and justifying hard decisions. The Office of Admissions balances multiple priorities at once; time management, multitasking and intrinsic motivation are necessary for this role.  This candidate will be an outstanding communicator with the ability to engage and build relationships with prospective students and families, high school counselors, community-based organizations, and campus partners. Additionally, this position requires the ability to think quickly, critically and independently, using problem solving and judgment skills to make decisions in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will understand and support the benefits of a diverse campus community and value the perspective of others. This position will frequently engage, both in-person and virtually, with prospective students and their families in one-on-one meetings as well as speak to audiences as large as 1,000 or more on campus, around the state and across the country.

This position is located in Southern California and will require working remotely from a home office and traveling throughout the southern California region as well as occasional coverage of northern California and the western states. This will be determined seasonally in collaboration with the territory manager and supervisor.
