Role Purpose

As a Mid-Level Software Engineer, you will play a key role in our platform team. Your primary focus and main objective will be to be a part of the platform team developing, testing, and integrating software for our next generation Workforce, HR, Compliance and Learning microservice platform. You will be a approaching this role with a Cloud and API first mindset, leveraging your experience to produce world class technical solutions.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities
• Work as part of cross-functional, passionate agile project teams to ensure quality is driven into the heart of the development process from requirements definition to delivery.

• Developing, and maintaining platform microservices, both existing and entirely new services.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
• Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for great performance.
• Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality.

Essential Experience & Skills
• 3+ years' experience with C# and .NET

• C# .net 4.0 or higher (core and standard)
• ASP.NET MVC
• ORM experience with entity framework / entity framework core
• Experience with SQL server • Designing & implementing web APIs / REST APIs
• Unit & integration testing • TDD / BDD approaches
• Design patterns
• Distributed systems / Microservices
• Leading a development team
• Git • Cloud / Azure experience - IaaS and PaaS

Desirable Experience & Skills
   • Experience in the healthcare or dental sector

• Line management & mentoring
• Experience of devops - CI/CD - / GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps Pipelines
• VueJS or similar front end frameworks
• non-RDMS experience (document DB, graph DB)
