Senior Security Engineer (f/m/d)

About the Role:

We are hiring for our Security Operations team. The SecOps team currently consists of 2 people, embedded in an Information Security Department covering Security Engineering, Compliance and Operations. The Security Operations Team at GROPYUS is in charge of the the asset, vulnerability and Security Incident Management process, as well as the Security Helpdesk, GROPYUS PKI, E-Mail Security and Endpoint Protection.

Our Information Security department currently consists of 7 people. The Information Security department is responsible for the whole GROPYUS group and spans all security domains, from cloud security, application security, security of our smart home product and buildings to corporate security

What you'll be doing:

• In this role, you will get the possibility to dive deep into the different information security domains (e.g. cloud, IoT, smart home, machine learning, AI, application security, compliance and risk management, security incident management, vulnerability management)
• You will be able to directly influence the direction, setup and evolution of Information Security for the whole organization
• You will be taking on the challenge to secure especially sensitive information and protect people in their most private spaces. GROPYUS devices and applications are deployed in every apartment of our GROPYUS buildings as part of the Smart Home BOS system.
• You will be collaborating closely with software engineers and newest technologies on the topics of cloud, machine learning, embedded systems, firmware, IoT, mobile apps
• One team member per week is responsible for triaging alerts, being the first responder to alerts and incidents and triage incoming questions and concerns from the company.
  
  We do not have 24/7 on call duties currently but in the future that may be required.

What you bring:

• You enjoy using python to automate your tasks interacting with libraries and APIs
• You regularly lead and participate in security incident investigations including on platforms such as linux server, windows server and firewalls
• You are curious and willing to learn new technologies
• You have worked with a SIEM (Security information and event management) 
• You have an urge to fix problems and improve things you discover while working
